What you will do

• Define the roadmap for the platform and dataset.

• Work with business teams to gather needs and build a strategy that maximizes our impact with data and AI

• Identify gaps in resourcing or key points of friction in business processes, and make recommendations that address those issues

• Ensure that the platform elegantly delivers on the capabilities its users require, while implementing the governance and compliance controls necessary for the responsible handling of enterprise business data

What will you do?

• Form and facilitate multiple Scrum Teams, seeing them through the four stages of team development.

• Create an environment of co-delivery and shared responsibility across the Dev, QE, Docs, UX, and PM organizations.

• Work with other Agile Practitioners in their overall mission to help Core Platforms in its Agile Transformation.

• Provide as needed training and publish documentation that supports these efforts.

• Identify and help the team understand skills such as relative estimations and continuous improvement.

• Focus on respectful adoption of agility through the identification and resolution of existing challenges.

• Help the team become self-sufficient in the use of Scrum.

• Improve channels of communication.

What will you bring?

• Agile project management skills evidenced by industry experience or recent certification - with strong background in Scrum (For example PMI-ACP or new PMI-PMP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or equivalent)

• Outstanding interpersonal skills, including both oral and written communication, mentoring, coaching, collaboration, negotiation, and team building

• Familiarity with any Linux-based Operating System, it’s basic composition, and the Open-Source development model

• Sufficient level of technical background in System Level Software development to provide highly credible leadership with Open-Source development teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues

• Demonstrated track record of delivering software products to production, coaching teams & programs at varying maturity levels.

• Creative approach to problem solving; ability to focus on details while maintaining the big picture view

• Data driven analysis skills for measuring health of strategy-to-delivery

• Experience with Jira or other card/bug tracking system

The following are considered a plus:

• Any experience with Virtualization and Hypervisors such as KVM, VMWare or Hyper-V

• Any experience with Red Hat products or business

• Any experience with Cloud Computing

• Any background or references in Open Source software development
