About the Job:

The Red Hat India Services team is looking for a Consultant to join us in Delhi, India. In this role, you will help us ensure that our engagements are not just a technology implementation, but an organisational transformation. As a consultant, you will work with our lead architect in our engagements, cocreating innovative software solutions using emerging open source technology and modern software design methods in an agile environment. You’ll be coached by the team to facilitate the design and technical delivery of our solutions. As you do so, you’ll create

enthusiasm for building great software using principles of open source and agile culture. You'll support everything from the scoping to delivering the engagements. Successful applicants must reside in a city where Red Hat has mentioned the location.

What will you do?

• Participate in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation, and deployment

• Design client-side and server-side architecture

• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications

• Write effective APIs

• Architect and provide guidance on building end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale

• Engage with inspiring designers and front-end engineers, and collaborate with leading back-end engineers to create reliable APIs

• Collaborate across time zones via Slack, GitHub comments, documents, and frequent videoconferences

• This position requires frequent on-site work with clients and availability to travel up to 50-80%.

What will you bring?

• At least 3 years of experience in building large-scale software applications

• Extensive experience in Openshift, Kafka, 3scale

• Hands-on experience with Service Mesh technologies, including Istio , for traffic management, security, and observability in microservices architectures.

• Knowledge of devops (CI/CD, GIT, ArgoCD)

• Monitoring using Prometheus, Grafana

• Experience in building web applications

• Experience in designing and integrating RESTful APIs

• Excellent debugging and optimisation skills

• Experience in unit/integration testing

• Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache) and

• Familiarity with UI/UX design

You shall be engaged in Cloud Platform delivery projects.

As an expert Solution Engineer, you will participate in customer delivery projects, with focus on CloudBand Infrastructure Software (CBIS), Nokia Container Services (NCS) and Nokia Cloud Platform (NCP) products of CloudBand portfolio. The work would involve building high-and low-level design, installation & commissioning, testing, integration & validation, and customer acceptance.

You shall perform solution-based install, configuration, and acceptance of pre-architected solutions, either remote or on-site – to that end, some travel to customer sites may be required.

You shall also provide remote or on-site expert support for on-site solution engineers during installation, acceptance and diagnosis activities and take care of integration issue during deployment, validation, and acceptance.

What will you do:

• Participation in customer’s projects activities related to Cloud Infrastructure projects

• Understand Customer and Product functional and technical requirements

• Understand how Cloud Products integrate into our customer’s environment

• Understand customization requirements that the customer might need.

• Assistance as consultant in customer’s presentations, documentation, and workshops

• Participation in Deployment Industrialization process to shorter lead time and reduce deployment efforts

• Product and application integration

• Handling integration issues during deployment

• Develop enough knowledge on our customer’s environment to participate in customer discussion and facilitate integration recommendation

• Manage customer technical requests and regularly update customer and project stakeholders on progress

• Technical and hands-on practical knowledge on OpenStack, Kubernetes, OpenShift and RHEL is key

• Strong fundamental concepts and experience on Containers, Kubernetes and Microservices

• Knowledge and experience on CBIS, NCS and NCP products is a plus

• Expertise in Network Functions Virtualization Infrastructure(NFVI) and concepts linked with virtualization experience is a must.

• Expertise in Cloud Management Systems, Virtual Infrastructure Management systems and Cloud Infrastructure Management Systems is required.
