R&D Project Manager


Your role:

  • Leading multi-disciplinary and sustaining projects, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and resource constraints. Managing complex initiatives as part of broader end-to-end processes, delivering critical project components with precision.
  • Resolving diverse challenges using creative approaches and sound judgment, driving improvements across disciplines. Applying advanced planning and estimation techniques to enhance project outcomes and efficiency.
  • Fostering a positive, inclusive team environment by motivating diverse team members and leveraging individual strengths. Ensuring effective task delegation and clear communication throughout all phases of project execution.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, proactively managing expectations and aligning objectives. Integrating customer feedback throughout the project lifecycle to ensure solutions meet user needs.
  • Documenting project knowledge thoroughly, capturing lessons learned and best practices for future use. Contributing to organizational learning and innovation by sharing expertise and influencing peer groups.

You're the right fit if:

  • You’ve acquired 6+ years of experience in Product Development (involving hardware/software) or R&D Project/Program Management, with expertise in creating project plans, budgets and schedules. Experience working with medical devices or in an FDA regulated environment, highly preferred.
  • Your skills include:
    • Knowledge in critical path and/or critical chain methodology.
    • Extensive experience leading cross-functional Product Development or R&D Project teams.
    • Robust knowledge of design controls and risk management standards – plus.
  • You have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this .
  • You’re an excellent communicator, both written and verbal.

Integral Project Manager
Job Description

As an Integral Project Manager for Hospital patient Monitoring, you will manage product development initiatives for the MR Imaging Patient Care Project Portfolio.

Your role:

  • Leading cross functional, cross organizational design change projects that deliver solutions to the market. Creating and owning the project plan that defines the time, budget, resources, and scope of the project, in compliance with the Philips Product Realization Process.
  • Supervising the project activities of Philips development teams and 3rd party organizations and working closely with cross functional teams to oversee the project schedule, budget, and scope.
  • Delivering plans at the start of every project, with status reports and progress over the duration of the project lifecycle, including all the elements necessary to deliver the solution to the markets at the end of the project.
  • Interfacing with cross-functional teams (e.g. PMO, Q&R, R&D, Supply Chain, Marketing, etc.) to drive project/program priorities and resource allocations, while tracking schedules, risks, issues, and mitigation plans.
  • Planning, holding, and resolving issues from formal reviews of both project/program planning and development content, to assure both the goals and the execution of the projects/programs meet expectations.
  • Lead project/program presentations at stage gate reviews and regularly reporting out to senior management using standard reporting tools and frameworks.

  • You’ve acquired 5+ years of experience in Product Development or R&D Project Management, preferably medical device (FDA) and you have knowledge in critical path methodology and/or critical chain methodology.
  • Your skills include:
    • Robust knowledge of design controls and risk management standards
    • Strong experience in the creation of project plans, budgets, and schedules
    • Extensive experience leading cross-functional Product Development Project teams
  • You have a bachelor’s degree (required) in an Engineering discipline (preferred). Philips Project Management Certification or Project Management Practitioner Certification (highly preferred).
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this .
  • You’re an excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
