Customs Subject Matter Expert Tariff Classification jobs at Philips in Poland

In this role you will be:

• Correcting customs classification of all relevant Philips materials
• Maintaining customs classification data in the appropriate databases (mainly SAP GTS)
• Advising the customs clearing operation on ad hoc customs classification topics
• Key contact for any Philips stakeholder on customs classifications
• Identifying and reporting classification issues which can lead to incompliance
• Being a backup for the master data support foreign trade

• You have previous experience within customs classification, trade compliance or a similar department

Your role:

• Correct and consistent customs classification of all relevant Philips materials

• Timely and accurate maintenance of customs classification data in the appropriate databases (mainly SAP GTS)

• Adequate advising the customs clearing operation on ad hoc customs classification topics

• Understanding, performing and coordinating the process of: making the import declaration using the correct customs regulations, correct goods code and additional codes within the agreed time frame

• Data entry of previous document and invoice information in case there is no electronic message

• Control the previous document is a Philips shipment

• Supporting and advising the business with making a correct export declaration

• Data entry of an export declarations for organizations which do not have this functionality

• Clearance AGS and Transit declarations for the Single Authorization Simplified Procedures (SASP- NL, AT, IE, FR, DE) countries and UK

• Administrating the bonded warehouse (BWH) and Inward Processing Relief (IPR)

• Archiving electronically the declaration relevant documentation

• Reporting Intrastat, Extrastat and VAT for the SASP countries and DE, UK

• Coordinating the work of TC sub-team team to support business continuity for Trade Compliance processes and areas it supports

• Responsible for reporting daily, weekly and monthly results – internally within organization and to external stakeholders

• Supporting business with TC questions

• Handling process of creation and update of work instructions

• Training team members on TC processes

• You have a Bachelor/Master degree (preferably an engineering degree)

• You have a customs knowledge and solid experience in customs classification (preferred previous experience in Supply Chain or Transportation)

• You are fluent in English

• You have an experience in working with MS office applications

• You are accurate and have an ability to work as a part of a team
