Job Description

Cardiologs is a venture within the Ambulatory Monitory and Diagnostics (AM&D) business unit that focuses on leveraging AI to improve cardiac care at scale. Cardiologs built the ECG analysis platform, a cloud SaMD that helps health professionals to analyse Holter ECG recordings 40% faster on average with better clinical accuracy than the standard market solutions.

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Director to lead the Cardiologs engineering team, which consist of 25-30 members across three feature teams and two platform teams. The leader will drive the technical direction of the team, ensuring alignment with the Cardiologs strategy and the broader AM&D R&D group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a diverse engineering team, overseeing recruitment and performance management for both direct and indirect reports (including 3 Engineering Managers, 1 QA Manager, and 1 Senior Systems Architect).
  • Define and drive the technical strategy and execution for the development of Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) products, including the Cardiologs ECG platform and digital biomarkers.
  • Serve as Cardiologs' representative within the AM&D R&D organization. Ensure strategic alignment with the business unit's objectives and collaborate closely with AM&D R&D to integrate engineering efforts into broader organizational initiatives.
  • As a member of the Cardiologs leadership team, collaborate with key internal stakeholders:
    • Product teams to efficiently deliver the roadmap and provide technical direction for product development
    • Data science team to support the deployment of new algorithms into production
    • Regulatory team to craft technical strategies that meet product compliance requirements
    • Quality team to define and optimize delivery processes, balancing regulatory compliance with development speed and code quality
  • Cultivate a collaborative, inclusive environment that encourages innovation, professional growth, and technical excellence.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a leadership role managing engineering teams.
  • Previous experience working in a regulated environment (ideally healthcare) is strongly preferred but not strictly required.
  • Strong technical background with experience in building SaaS products at scale
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams and with stakeholders.
  • Ability to drive technical strategy and manage complex projects in a regulated and complex environment.

How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. This role is an onsite role.

  • Définir et conduire la stratégie technique ainsi que l’exécution du développement de produits logiciels à usage médical (SaMD), notamment la plateforme ECG Cardiologs et les biomarqueurs numériques.
  • Représenter Cardiologs au sein de l’organisation R&D AM&D. Assurer l’alignement stratégique avec les objectifs de la division, et collaborer étroitement avec les équipes R&D pour intégrer les efforts d’ingénierie aux initiatives globales du groupe.
  • En tant que membre de l’équipe de direction de Cardiologs, collaborer avec les parties prenantes internes clés :
    • Les équipes produit , pour assurer une livraison efficace de la roadmap et fournir une orientation technique au développement
    • L’ équipe data science , pour faciliter la mise en production de nouveaux algorithmes
    • L’ équipe réglementaire , pour définir des stratégies techniques conformes aux exigences de conformité
    • L’ équipe qualité , pour optimiser les processus de livraison, en trouvant un équilibre entre conformité réglementaire, rapidité de développement et qualité du code

Profil recherché :

  • Expérience confirmée dans un rôle de direction d’équipes d’ingénierie.
  • Une expérience préalable dans un environnement réglementé (idéalement dans le domaine de la santé) est fortement souhaitée, sans être impérative.
  • Solide expertise technique, avec une expérience dans le développement de produits SaaS à grande échelle.
