Your role

  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of procurement project managers, fostering a high-performance, entrepreneurial culture that drives innovation and efficiency across three personal health product lines, Intense Pulse Light, Hair Care and Female Depilation.
    • Set clear goals and expectations for the team, ensuring alignment with the overall procurement strategy and the objectives of each product category within the Beauty category.
  • Procurement Strategy Development and Execution:
    • Develop and implement a forward-thinking procurement strategy that leverages the full potential of the supply base as part of the value chain, with a strong focus on cost efficiency, quality, and speed.
    • Utilize ODM supply models to strategically outsource product development, reducing the need for in-house efforts and accelerating product launches.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Serve as the procurement single point of contact within the Beauty Category, collaborating closely with marketing, R&D, life cycle management, finance, and other cross-functional teams to ensure procurement activities are fully integrated with business goals and timelines for each product line.
    • Promote innovative procurement solutions within the cross-functional team, driving the adoption of new supply chain models and approaches.
  • Supplier Management and Development:
    • Oversee supplier scouting, selection, and sourcing processes with an entrepreneurial approach, ensuring that suppliers contribute to cost, quality, and innovation goals.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, driving continuous improvement initiatives and leveraging ODM partnerships to enhance product offerings and reduce costs.
  • KPI Management:
    • Own and manage key procurement KPIs, including Bill of Materials (BOM) savings, on-time delivery of projects, and supplier performance metrics across the three product lines.
    • Continuously assess procurement performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership that align with strategic business objectives and entrepreneurial initiatives.
    • Drive the BOM Savings funnel via Design for excellence, Value Engineering and Supplier Ideation workshops and manage the BOM cost reduction program across the 3 product lines.
  • Innovation and Best Practices:
    • Lead initiatives to scout and integrate new suppliers that bring innovation, cost efficiency, and quality improvements to each of the three consumer electronics product categories, with a particular focus on leveraging ODM models.
    • Stay ahead of market trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in consumer electronics procurement, applying this knowledge to continuously evolve the procurement strategy and drive value creation.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Educational Background:
    • Master degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 10+ years of experience in procurement, with a proven track record in a leadership role within the consumer electronics industry.
    • Extensive experience in developing and executing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and leading cross-functional teams across multiple product categories.
    • Extensive experience in Value Engineering, Design for eXcellence, LEAN, Statistical process control and/or Six Sigma
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset and Strategic Thinking:
    • Strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to leverage the supply base as part of the value chain and strategically utilize ODM supply models to drive business success.
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to align procurement activities with broader business objectives and the specific needs of each product category.
  • KPI and Performance Management:
    • Demonstrated ability to manage and achieve key procurement KPIs, particularly in areas such as BOM savings, on-time project delivery, and supplier quality, across multiple consumer electronics product categories.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Proven experience working in a cross-functional environment, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with diverse teams in the consumer electronics sector.
  • Supplier and Risk Management:
    • Strong expertise in supplier scouting, selection, and risk management, with a focus on cost, quality, and delivery performance tailored to the consumer electronics industry.
  • Nice to Have:
    • Experience with procurement digitization, leveraging latest developments in AI/LLM to the benefit of driving productivity and speed in procurement.
    • Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies in a consumer electronics context.

In this role, you are responsible for:

  • Formulates and implements the sites' long-range quality and compliance policy.
  • Creates Quality awareness level as determined within the organization.
  • Enforces (simplified) quality systems and harmonizes them across the Business sites
  • Establishes and maintains an effective Management Review process, including routine reporting.
  • Introduces and implements the quality processes and tools required to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Manages compliance to FDA, China and other Regulatory Agencies regulations as required, ensuring guidelines and policies to all products and operations are consistent with those regulations.
  • Manages the review and approval of finished products manufactured for and by the company in accordance with their approved specifications.
  • Manages all internal and external quality and regulatory inspections and questions relating to the site’s quality system in coordination with all other applicable company groups.
  • Manages product recall activities to include recall policies and procedures for the company.
  • Manages product complaint activities and processes and maintains overall responsibility for products in scope of the local QMS.
  • Drafts and manages the strategic improvement processes and transformational programs in the Quality domain
  • Interacts with all areas involved in the product development process, operations, customer services and sales and marketing and provide direction and consultation.
  • Ensures that all products to be released comply with all the relevant safety and environmental policies and regulations by implementing requirements, conditions and enablers in the Business.
  • Participates with peers and other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives.
  • Makes final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures the effective achievement of the company's business objectives in full quality and regulatory compliance.
  • In the role of Management Representative, to ensure management review meetings are held as required to assess the continuing suitability and effectiveness of the QMS and that adequate records of such reviews are maintained.
  • Act as Person Responsible for Regulatory Compliance for assigned responsibilities.
  • Act as the China GSP Responsible Person for Quality

You're the right fit if you have a customer-first attitude, motivation for change, and the following:

  • Bachelors’ degree required in medical device related majors (related majors refer to medical devices, biomedical engineering, machinery, electronics, medicine, biological engineering, chemistry, pharmacy, nursing, rehabilitation, laboratory science, computer, law, management, etc.)
  • Master's or PhD degree preferred.
  • Shall have more than 3 years of medical device business quality management experience. Typically requires a minimum of 7 years of related experience
  • Has broad expertise or unique knowledge, uses skills to contribute to development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways.
  • The most senior level individual contributor manager.
  • Having broad expertise or unique knowledge, uses skills to contribute to development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways.
  • Has complete knowledge of all company products and services.
