As Sales Operations Intern, you are a critical member of the Sales Operations Team who executes timely processing of quotes and orders within your portfolio.
You will support a team of Account Managers to deliver on customer expectations by generating high-quality customer facing documentation. You will support the business by ensuring that sales are accurate and secured in alignment with established policies and procedures.
• This role is exposed to a wide variety of Business Units and key stake holders across Hospital Patient Monitoring, Ultrasound, and Imaging whilst also supporting Sales and Contract Management.

Service Contract Renewal Specialist - HPM


Your challenge

Day-to-day, your role will be extremely diverse and include; Working with the wider service and sales teams to identify and convert sales opportunities of service contracts and maximize market contract penetration. You will do this while maintaining exceptional customer relationships (over the phone and face-to-face), and becoming an expert in the Philips Service product portfolio. You will be responsible for the negotiation of sales terms, attending customer review meetings, exceeding territory sales budgets and identifying growth opportunities.

You’re the right fit if:

  • Bring proven experience working in selling, negotiating and maximizing value proposition.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a business-related field with experience working within the Healthcare Sector would be highly advantageous;
  • Prior contract renewal or contract sales experience;
  • Strong attention to detail, time management and ability to thrive in a high volume, deadline driven environment.
  • You have strong skills in Excel including manipulating large amounts of data and use of pivot tables. If you have working knowledge of Salesforce that would be a bonus;
  • Influential interpersonal and Sales skills with the ability to build long-term and trusting customer relationships both internally and externally;

We are seeking an experienced and driven, you will play a pivotal role in guiding our regulatory strategy and managing product registrations, ensuring that products meet the required legal and safety standards for market access in Australia. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, quality, and marketing, to streamline the approval process and support the successful launch of innovative medical technologies.


Your challenge

  • Define & execute people centered change strategies, making impact by driving adoption of new ways of working.

  • Collaborate effectively within the initiative team as well as with initiative stakeholders to identify needs, set & execute the regulatory strategy and drive impact while ensuring strategies / plans / activities are aligned with and support the specific to BRF priorities.

  • Lead the preparation, review, and submission of regulatory applications for medical devices to the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) in Australia, ensuring compliance with Medical Device Regulations (MDR) .

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local regulatory guidelines and industry standards, such as TGA and Medsafe Medical Device Regulations, relevant international standards such as: IEC 60601 , and other regulatory requirements related to Philips devices . Ensure product compliance with these standards throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Oversee the registration process of medical devices with TGA, including ongoing post-market surveillance, ensuring adherence to regulatory timelines and expectations.

  • Work closely with product development teams, quality assurance, and manufacturing teams to ensure regulatory requirements are met from design through to commercialization.

  • Develop and execute regulatory strategies for new and existing products, ensuring that all regulatory submissions are clear, comprehensive, and in compliance with local and international regulations. Ensure compliance throughout the lifecycle of the device including pre and post market requirements.

  • Monitor and analyze global and regional regulatory trends to ensure company products are positioned effectively in the marketplace.

  • Prepare and maintain detailed regulatory files, certificates, and other documentation required for regulatory submissions. Ensure timely responses to TGA inquiries or audits.

  • Provide regulatory training to internal teams on the latest regulatory developments and best practices.

You’re the right fit if:

  • You will bring a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific or engineering field with at least 3 years of regulatory affairs experience within the medical device industry.

  • In-depth knowledge of Australian regulatory requirements , including TGA guidelines, European Medical Device Regulation (EUMDR) , and ISO 13485 .

  • Experience with medical device classifications , product registrations, and submission strategies.

  • Strong understanding of global regulatory frameworks (e.g., FDA , CE Marking ).

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • A proactive and results-oriented approach to work, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring compliance with regulatory timelines.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team.

Providing clinical support throughout the entire life cycle of the relationship with both new and existing customers, you will work in partnership with Account Managers to deliver pre-sale presentations and demonstrations on the Philips Ultrasound portfolio including the Advanced Imaging techniques of 3D Echo and Cardiac Strain. You will play a pivotal role in maximizing customer satisfaction, and elevating the efficiency of patient care, through providing effective training around the optimal use of our equipment once delivered / installed and handed over by Philips.

Other key responsibilities

  • Promote Philips Healthcare solutions during customer visits, product demonstrations, seminars, and trade shows

  • Train customers in applying optimal usage of the equipment delivered enabling users to follow clinical procedures and protocols to achieve best practice

  • Train / re-train hospital staff in case of new releases, upgrade and / or versions (changes) in the operating procedures of the equipment

  • Conduct regular visits to customers to obtain direct feedback from them about the quality of the training delivery and the customer satisfaction

  • Be aware and to manage at all times the safety standards required by the company, including radiation protection, health and safety regulations

  • Support product launches and advise the sales team of market feedback

  • Keep up to date with new developments in the clinical application and operating field of the relevant equipment

  • Responsible for reporting customer feedback according to applicable quality standard policy and follow up relevant assigned quality & regulatory training in a timely manner

  • Supporting the business with input on configurations and working with the Account Manager to provide clinical feedback to assist in funnel management

  • Postgraduate studies in Cardiac Sonography are required as well as in-depth clinical experience within a public and/or private echocardiography department

  • Experience with Advanced Imaging technologies or cardiac catheterization/hybrid labs highly regarded

  • Previous experience in presentations and training or experience within a commercial environment will be high regarded

  • Outstanding relationship building and communication skills

  • High levels of motivation, energy, and a drive to achieve results
