You will have responsibility for the coordination, delivery and governance of core compliance oversight, allowing PayPal Canada Co. to perform its obligations as a registered Payment Services Provider under the Retail Payment Activities Act (RPAA) and to the Bank of Canada.

Job Description:

You will have responsibility for the delivery of RPAA Compliance oversight and reporting processes:

  • Maintaining PayPal’s Operation Risk Management Framework and Safeguarding of Funds Framework, to ensure alignment with all relevant regulations
  • Providing subject matter advisory expertise to support the business and enterprise functions in executing the requirements of the program and managing risks
  • Oversight of monitoring and testing initiatives to ensure adherence to policy requirements
  • Providing effective challenge to the business and enterprise functions in areas of operational risk, resiliency, incident/issue management and safeguarding
  • Engage with enterprise functions to identify & assess incidents related to payment functions and manage regulatory and end user notification processes
  • Compile & present compliance risk management reporting with various stakeholders, operating forums and Board meetings.
  • Support compliance risk assessment exercises and annual review of RPAA frameworks
  • Ensuring proper record keeping of all materials and documents to support RPAA compliance
  • Collaboratively preparing ongoing incident reporting, responses to regulatory requests, exam preparation and responses, as well as PayPal’s annual report to the Bank of Canada under the Retail Payment Activities Act.
