Your Career

Palo Alto Networks NGFW (Next Generation Firewall) group is looking for a seasoned and accomplished QA/Automation engineer with experience in validating core networking & security features in the QA team. You will be part of a world-class software test engineering team that works on various ground-breaking technologies (Cloud Identity, Data Loss Prevention, Post quantum cryptography, IoT Security etc) in the Layer 4-7 domain. You will work with a multi- functional team of engineers solving interesting problems in the area of L4-7 security.

Your Impact

  • Work in a small and fast paced team to solve important customer problems and deliver most impactful results
  • Contribute in all phases of end to end product and solution validation
  • Work with different development and quality assurances groups to achieve the best quality
  • Suggest and implement improvements to the QA process
  • Work with DevOps and the Technical Support teams to troubleshoot customer issues
  • Interview, mentor and coach new team members

our Experience

  • Strong automation/programming experience in Python
  • Working knowledge and experience with TCP/IP, application layer protocols (HTTP/HTTPS/SMTP)
  • (Cloud Identity, Data Loss Prevention, Post quantum cryptography, decryption, certificate management, IoT Security)
  • Hands on experience testing network and/or other security products
  • Experience with various Linux platform testing & troubleshooting tools
  • Be able to build and maintain complex networking testbeds
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging/troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent QA skills employing test frameworks, commercial test sets, home grown tools, automated testing
  • Preferred - Experience with GCP, AWS or other cloud infra, CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
  • Graduate degree (BS or MS) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar technical discipline or equivalent military experience required
  • 10+ years of experience in QA Automation Engineering

Your Career

, you will design, deploy, and integrate Palo Alto Networks solutions across public and private cloud environments. Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for our virtualized and GenAI-related security technologies, you’ll engage directly with customer stakeholders—both onsite and remotely—to drive secure, scalable implementations.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Lead the design and integration of Palo Alto Networks security solutions in cloud and virtualized environments
  • Enable customer adoption of secure, automated architectures—including GenAI-powered workloads and agentic applications
  • Automate deployments using infrastructure-as-code and scripting best practices
  • Collaborate with customer stakeholders and internal teams (Consulting Engineers, TAC, Security Architects) to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions
  • Demonstrate the value, reliability, and robustness of deployed solutions
  • Provide operational handoff and enablement for customer security and DevOps teams
  • Document solution designs, reusable templates, and technical artifacts
  • Troubleshoot complex challenges across cloud, virtualization, and AI-integrated environments
  • Own deliverables independently or while leading small delivery teams

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, business, or equivalent education/experience
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly
  • Cloud Platforms: Minimum of 3 years of experience with Public Cloud Platforms Architecture and Deployment (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • GenAI/LLMs: Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and agentic applications architectures, along with an understanding of the evolving security landscape for AI Applications.
  • Virtualization: Architecture and delivery experience with Enterprise and/or Service Provider customers utilizing virtualization environments such as OpenStack, NSX, and Kubernetes
  • Security Solutions: Minimum of 2 years of experience building and integrating security solutions in large enterprise environments
  • Networking: Strong understanding of Internet protocols and applications.
  • Multitasking: Proven ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Scripting: Experience in Python, Ansible, or Terraform
  • Project Leadership: Demonstrated project leadership skills
  • Cloud Certification: Associate-level cloud certification in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Travel up to 15–20% for onsite engagements as required
  • Nice to Haves:
    • AWS Certified Solution Architect Professional
    • AWS Advanced Certified Networking Specialty
    • MCSE Cloud Platforms

  • Outstanding customer communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in working with customers, demonstrating problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude
  • Solid understanding of NGFW, Network Security, SASE, SD-WAN, CASB, Proxy, DLP and BYOD Solutions
  • Advanced knowledge of On-Premise and Cloud-Delivered Network Security Technologies
  • This is a field sales position where travel requirements may be required to support in person customer meetings, please discuss with the recruiter on the specifics for this position.
  • Proficient in English
