Your Impact
We are looking for a proven first-line sales leader with great energy, leadership, and initiative to drive team performance and revenue growth for our sales team. This role will entail:
Develop and execute targeted sales and go-to-market (GTM) strategies focused on pipeline generation, technically winning, and closing new customers for Palo Alto Networks Next Generation Software Firewall solutions (VM Series, Cloud Firewall, and AIRS solutions)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including your extended sales teams, GTM, product, marketing, and channel to align Sales Plays to targeted customers in your sales territory within the EMEA region.
Execute Next Generation/Software Firewall sales plays to build software firewall pipeline in your region in collaboration with your extended sales teams.
Collaborate with your extended Palo Alto Networks sales teams to identify, conduct discovery, and qualify new Software Firewall opportunities with customers.
Work with the technical solutions team to technically validate and win Software Firewall opportunities with customers.
Serve as a trusted advisor to strategic customers and partners, driving consultative sales cycles from initial engagement to close as needed
Identify and understand customer requirements and articulate the value proposition of Palo Alto Networks’ AI security and Software and Cloud Firewall offerings and use cases to meet those requirements.
Evangelize the importance and value of securing AI across industry events, executive briefings, and thought leadership opportunities
Track and report performance metrics, pipeline health, and market insights to support forecasting and strategy refinement in your area.
Build close partnerships with the sales team and cloud service providers in the Region to identify new opportunities and close business.
Your Experience
8+ years of experience in a sales or sales specialist role in the cybersecurity, cloud, or AI space and 2 years of sales management experience preferred
Understanding of AI technologies, including generative AI tools, machine learning, and large language models (LLMs)
Strong grasp of firewall fundamentals, including the ability to discuss how modern software firewalls help customers secure traffic in the cloud, prevent advanced threats from spreading across their network, gain visibility and control over applications, and enable a secure hybrid workforce.
Deep understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, including data security, network security, and cloud security
Demonstrated ability to lead complex sales engagements
Extensive experience cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with minimal direction
Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees a plus
Experience selling to CISOs, CIOs, and data science/security teams
Experience working in a high-growth or scale-up environment
Background in working with or through VARs, cloud marketplaces, or CSP partnerships

We've structured this role to have two core functions, allowing you to manage the present while building the future.
Core Compensation Operations & Program Management:
Own and Administer Core Programs: Serve as the go-to expert for our day-to-day compensation matters, including job evaluations, market pricing, and salary structure maintenance. Provide exceptional consultative service to People Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders.
Lead Compensation Cycles: Play a pivotal role in the successful execution of our annual compensation review cycle and other programs, managing project plans, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communications.
Enhance and Scale Processes: Streamline and scale our regional compensation programs by improving processes, building robust tools, and partnering with our People Tech team to drive system integrations and enhancements.
Manage Vendor Relationships: Act as the primary point of contact for third-party vendors for compensation data, survey submissions, and systems to ensure we get the maximum value from these partnerships.
Strategic Analysis, Insights & Business Partnering:
Business Partnering: With an effective stakeholder management be the main point of contact for a sub-regional organization for all compensation matters by delivering excellent customer satisfaction and advisory service.
Develop the Analytical Engine: Design, build, and lead the transformation of our regional compensation analytics. You will be the main point of contact for all regional data needs, from standard reporting to complex, ad-hoc inquiries.
Translate Data into Strategy: Prepare and present complex compensation analysis to identify trends, measure the effectiveness of our programs, and provide data-backed recommendations for program improvements.
Model for Impact: Develop sophisticated models to analyze the financial impact of various reward scenarios, helping leadership make informed, strategic decisions.
Ensure Fairness and Equity: Conduct in-depth analyses on internal equity and pay parity, ensuring our compensation practices are fair, competitive, and aligned with our values.
Your Experience
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of direct experience in compensation, with a strong background in broad-based compensation, analytics, and program management.
Expert-level proficiency in Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel, including building complex models, handling large datasets, and advanced formulas
Proven analytical and modeling skills with a demonstrated ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
Hands-on experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday) and market pricing tools (e.g., Radford, Mercer, WTW).
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience querying data with SQL or using statistical programming languages such as R or Python.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional certification from WorldatWork (e.g., CCP, GRP).
Experience working in a multinational and/or technology organization.
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Finance, Human Resources) or equivalent practical experience.
