As a Principal Consultant in Unit 42 you will have the opportunity to work across a number of proactive cyber security domains including Cloud Security, Security Operations, Cyber Risk Management and Artificial Intelligence in cyber security.

Your Impact

  • Principal SOC Advisory: 6+ years of consulting experience in SOC, security engineering, SIEM administration, and incident management and demonstrated success with serving large, multinational organisations in designing and implementing an organisation’s security operations program, organisational structures, and capabilities
  • Possess a deep technical knowledge in Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) platforms, Security Orchestration and Response (SOAR) technologies, Endpoint Protection and Response/Next Gen Protection and Response (EDR/XDR) tools, Next GenFirewalls, Threat Intelligence and Hunting platforms
  • Defensive Security Skills (desired) : Experience in security operations design, engineering and/or analysis and investigations, ideally in complex environments, with security event correlations across a variety of sources i.e. cloud, network, endpoint, logs
  • Ability to perform detailed assessments, identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to transform an organisation's cyber security operations and capabilities to better protect, detect and rapidly respond to modern threats.
  • Demonstrated experience in improving an organisations security operations capabilities such as improvements in asset visibility, threat detection capabilities, automation techniques, case management, enablement of compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Experience in conducting threat hunting and/or compromise assessments to identify active or dormant indicators of compromise (IoCs) or evidence of unknown threats within an organisations digital environment
  • Relevant industry certifications including GIAC Defensible Security Architect (GDSA), GIAC Intrusion Analyst (GCIA), GIAC Continuous Monitoring (GMON), CISSP
  • Understanding of cyber risk frameworks or industry standards such as 800-53, ISO 27001/2, PCI, CIS 18, CMMC
  • Principal Cloud Security: 6+ years of experience performing cloud security advisement and risk assessments based upon industry-accepted standards
  • Hands-on experience with a cloud hosting provider (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc)
  • Experience with a Cloud Application Security Broker - MCAS, Netskope
  • Possess a deep technical knowledge in CASBs, Cloud Platforms and the dependencies around such an environment (WAF, SSO, Cloud Threats, API Security, Cloud Security Posture Management)
  • Former experience with cloud migrations (cloud to cloud, or on-prem to cloud)
  • Knowledge of command-line interfaces or scripting tools in cloud environments is a plus
  • Cloud Security skills (desired): Secure software development practices, including SecDevOps
  • Sound knowledge of applicable frameworks & standards, including OWASP, MITRE ATT@CK & D3FEND, CIS, NIST CSF, CSA CCM & ISO 27107
  • Relevant industry certifications including CSCP

  • Sound knowledge of applicable laws, compliance regulations, and industry standards as it relates to privacy, security, and compliance
  • Sound knowledge of applicable frameworks, including MITRE ATT@CK & D3FEND, CIS, NIST CSF, CSA CCM
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Cyber Risk Management skills (desired) : Experience in threat modelling & application security risk assessments, secure software development practices, including SecDevOps
  • FAIR Open certified & experience in applying FAIR for cyber risk quantification
  • Relevant industry certifications including CISSP, CISM, CISA

Your Experience

  • 6+ years of experience performing cyber security consulting in at least two of the three domains above, with SME experience in one of the domains
  • Experience managing a team of consultants
  • Demonstrates a track record in strengthening existing and developing new client relationships
  • Ability to strive in a startup environment
  • Ability to perform travel requirements as needed to meet business demands
  • Identified ability to grow into a valuable contributor to the practice and, specifically -
  • Have an external presence via public speaking, conferences, and/or publications

As the Director of Product Management for AI Runtime Security, you will be responsible for building and scaling our AI Runtime product offering.

To be successful in this position you must possess a combination of strong technical skills, analytical skills, as well as a passion for driving enterprise AI Security while bridging customer business requirements with key market trends. You must be comfortable with frequent interaction with customers, prospects, and industry analysts presenting and explaining our security solution while understanding and articulating their requirements. You have a track record of success in leading focused, tightly-knit product teams, have delivered on product commitments in working closely with engineering leadership, and have successfully developed and articulated your vision, product strategy, and product plans to the company’s leadership.

Your Impact

  • Lead the Product Management team for AI Runtime Security

  • Collaborate with PM leadership to develop your vision, product strategy, product roadmap, and technology requirements as part of market and customer requirements

  • Work cross functionally with the NGFW, Cloud-Delivered Shared Services, Strata Cloud Manager, and AI Security teams to deliver on the vision of “platformization” strategy

  • Develop, manage & communicate product roadmap to customers, prospects, and all key internal stakeholders

  • Collaborate with engineering to solve problems and deliver high-quality products

  • Engage with the product marketing team and help them develop compelling messaging, impactful sales tools, and marketing content to support sales and field marketing teams

  • Work with NPI, certification, professional services, support, education team and ensure your products get coverage by these cross-functional teams

  • Drive product pricing and go-to-market decisions

Your Experience

  • BS/MS or equivalent experience or equivalent military experience required

  • MBA preferred

  • Strong desire to take ownership of the full product lifecycle

  • 8+ years in product management with at least 3 years in a lead/management role

  • Experience with cloud, networking, security, AI enterprise products/platforms is required

  • Experience with network security is highly desirable

  • Experience in building AI/ML powered solutions for an enterprise platform is a big plus

  • Very strong (written and verbal) communication and presentation skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills leading and contributing to cross-functional teams

  • Experience in fast-paced environments with overlapping projects/deliverables

  • Proven track record in leading focused product management teams

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills required

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $231000 - $317000/YR. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found .

  • Working knowledge of Palo Alto Networks products, with a focus on Next-Generation Firewall and some comparative technologies - Continuous technical development
  • Experience with systems installation, configuration and administration of routers/switches, UNIX/Linux, and Windows-based systems
  • Experience that emphasizes L2-L4 Networks (L2 switching architectures including Spanning Tree, IP routing that includes OSPF and BGP, and L4 Load balancing)
  • Understand and effectively present our security platform to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex multivariate problems and find a systematic approach to gain a quick resolution, often under duress
  • Mature and effective time-management skills
  • Prior experience selling network infrastructure-based security appliances, including but not limited to - Firewalls, SSL/IPSec VPNs, Security Proxies and Caches
  • Familiarity working with Channel partners and understanding of a channel-centric market approach
  • Previous work in the enterprise networking security space
  • Experience and knowledge of modern network threats and malware, network forensics, automation tools and technologies, and endpoint security technologies
  • Significant industry certifications (SANS, CISSP, CCIE, etc)
  • Fluent English
