Your Career

As the Senior AI Engineering Manager, you will lead a talented team of 8 AI/ML engineers and data scientists based in India. You will be a critical leader within our global AI Enterprise Team, responsible for driving the technical vision, execution, and delivery of AI-powered solutions across Palo Alto Networks.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will blend your deep technical expertise with your passion for mentoring and growing high-performing teams. Your Experience

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in the AI/ML space.

• 3+ years of formal people management experience, with a proven track record of building and leading high-performing engineering teams.

• Strong technical background in machine learning, including experience with deep learning, NLP, predictive modeling, and data science.

• Proficiency with common AI/ML frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) and programming languages (e.g., Python).

• Experience with MLOps principles and tools for building and deploying models at scale (e.g., Kubeflow, MLflow, Vertex AI, or similar platforms).

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and data engineering technologies (e.g., BigQuery, Spark, Kafka).

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field

Your Impact

• Build custom security policies and application signatures for unique client environments
• Consult and guide customers on security standard best practices methodologies and act as trusted advisor for clients on behalf of Palo Alto Networks
• Analyze logs and events from the solution and supply threat analysis reports, providing input and direction as applicable
• Work proactively with our Technical Assistance Center to troubleshoot and diagnose cases as escalations arise
• Maintain the implemented solution and provide mentorship on code upgrades, changes to the platform, and new technology developments
• Work with sales account team to help formulate a technical strategy to address customer business needs
• Support direct manager in managing business needs through weekly reports and Quarterly Business Reviews
• Engage with the account team to allow them to clearly understand the customer business & technical requirements as you learn through active engagement with the client

Responsibilities:

• Travel (25-50%) is required for customer meetings and onsite deployments of customer engagements
• Conduct research on new features and technologies to optimize value delivery to customers.
• Meet with customer teams to design and thoroughly document the complete project.
• Provide knowledge transfer of next-generation technologies to customers and other Palo Alto Networks Technical Teams for long-term engagements.

Qualifications

• A 4-Year Engineering Degree / BS in Computer Science, MIS, business, or equivalent education/training/experience is required.
• Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Proficiency in document creation is necessary.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience with firewall and IDS/IPS solutions in large environments is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the installation, configuration, and operation of Palo Alto Networks products is necessary.
• Extensive knowledge of various security threats is mandatory.
• A strong understanding of Internet protocols and applications is required.
• Demonstrated project leadership skills and the ability to conduct design meetings are essential.
• The ability to leverage a variety of tools to complete migrations (e.g., scripts, Excel, third-party tools) is necessary.
• Candidates should possess a minimum of 10 years of industry experience.
• Candidates should hold the latest industry-leading cybersecurity certifications.

• Meeting and exceeding sales quotas by building and implementing strategic, technical account plans that target cross-platform solutions

Your Experience

• Having experience of 10+ years in handling State government and Public Sector departments.
• Understanding of data networking and/or modern application design and cloud architectures
• Delivering cybersecurity solutions that solve technical challenges and influence new business initiatives
• Influencing and gaining buy-in from key stakeholders, either in a customer-facing or internal role; prior experience in a pre-sales role is ideal
• Handling Government tenders , RFP Management , connects in State Government and Public Sector accounts & Government centric Partner ecosystem (Consulting Partners, SIs etc)
• Creating and delivering technical presentations, workshops, or technical validation engagements
• Experience in selling, designing, implementing, or managing one or more of the following solutions: Network Security firewalls (i.e., hardware and virtual), proxy, IPS/IDS, sandboxing, URL filtering, and DNS security SASE, SaaS, CNAPP and/or SOC Transformation Technologies.
• Partnering with Customer Support functions to ensure successful implementation and adoption of sold solutions
• Complex sales involving long sales processes with multiple buying centers and multi-product solutions are preferred

For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $104000/YR - $169500/YR The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. Compensation Disclosure
