As a Senior Electro-Optical Packaging Lab Practical Engineer at NVIDIA in Israel, you will play an integral role in the development and production of advanced optical technologies for NVIDIA’s energy-efficient, high-performance computing platforms. You will be responsible for the design, fabrication, testing and characterisation of optical packaging of electro-optical components, modules, subsystems and systems.
Your deep understanding of current and emerging technologies, combined with your eye for innovation, will drive you to develop groundbreaking solutions for NVIDIA’s ever-growing needs. Working closely with scientists, engineers and suppliers from around the globe, you will ensure the strategic direction of NVIDIA’s projects.
Your responsibilities include designing and fabricating electro-optical packages, packaging prototype parts and components, performing hands-on assembly, troubleshooting and debugging systems during production runs, characterizing electro-optical laser packaging, and documenting design histories and fabrication methodologies. You will also coordinate with internal and external customers to ensure on-time delivery of advanced electro-optic products.
The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, with a specialization in optical packaging. Strong knowledge of microelectronics technologies and processes, mechanical design, and industry-specific software programs is preferred. Expertise in environmental testing methods and cleanroom packaging and cleanliness procedures is also advantageous.
