Principal Patent Counsel, SEP Litigation
United Kingdom

As a Principal Patent Counsel you will be a part of a world class team of patent professionals with decades of experience and focus on SEP Litigation.

Duties will require close co-operation with both in-house and external technical and legal teams consisting of exceptional individuals that have been awarded as best in business.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
  • Conducting prior art search & performing in-depth patent analysis
  • Identifying and preparing new patents for litigation across jurisdictions
  • Being responsible for infringement and validity related matters/proceedings in patent litigation activities globally
  • Prosecution of litigation-grade assets
  • Coordinating and reviewing work of external counsels
  • Supporting patent licensing activities by preparing argumentation and participating in technical discussions with licensees
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • PhD Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Physics/Mathematics or equivalent
  • In-depth knowledge with 3GPP radio technologies
  • Extensive experience in infringement & validity analysis, prior art search and patent litigation
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Experience in FRAND related matters
  • Experience with UPC proceedings
  • Project management skills and abilities to lead, motivate and inspire others
  • Drive for excellent results
  • Initiative to develop new and better ways of doing things
  • Great skills in building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
