A successful candidate will build knowledge of the company, product, materials, processes and customers, solve a range of product creation and engineering problems and analyze possible solutions using standard procedures while receiving a moderate level of guidance and direction.
Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or other chemical related disciplines or 2+ years of direct relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
Footwear experience preferred. Related industries such as tires, polyurethane, plastics manufacturing will also be considered.
Fluent in written and verbal English.
Strong problem solving, data analysis and communication skills.
Natural curiosity and drive for continuous improvement.
Ability to contribute to complex initiatives and project teams.
Passion for sustainability and continues improvement.
Experience with data analysis tools such as Minitab, Statistica, or Excel and familiar with design of experiments (DOE).
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
In this role you will elevate product quality and drive strategic chemical and sustainable project from concept to manufacturing space.
Apply DOE methodology with solid data analysis capability to draw conclusions and provide corresponding resolution to solve development and manufacturing issues.
Serve as functional expert in bottom component technology within the product creation teams during the development phase to identify and alleviate potential manufacturing issue, driving validation of cutting-edge technology to confirm manufacturing readiness.
Navigate ambiguous confidently, providing solution paths for complex problems. You will lead capability elevation with factory partners, including new chemical facility ramp up while ensuring consistent quality.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
As part of this team, we will be working with internal cross functional partners on the Go To Market process to internalize the Global and Geography Toolkits with a focus on creating content to suit the accounts needs. You will build a Partner-specific assortment that is in service of the consumer-centric strategy and collaborate with Planning to align specific assortment to the Merchandise Financial Plan,Franchise/ClassificationPlan and Allocation Plan. Experience in Buying, Retail Planning, Merchandising or Sales in athletic apparel and footwear or a related industry
Ability to embrace change, act with courage, instill trust, think strategically, communicate vision and purpose, and foster effective teamwork.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint and Excel
Experience reading and analyzing retail metrics to optimize sales and inventory
