In this role, you will:

• Design and develop systems and reusable frameworks for the full cycle of ML/AI R&D in the multimedia domain, including data processing, efficient distributed model training with GPUs, and deploying models into creator workflows and production systems.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with research scientists, product managers, and creative and business partners to define and prioritize system requirements.

• Work closely with ML/CV/Graphics researchers and Studio teams to productionize algorithms and models, and efficiently run human-in-the-loop inference tasks.

About you:

• Proven experience in software engineering within a production environment, including proficiency in object-oriented programming (Python, Java, or C++), CI/CD, etc.

• Familiarity with ML, CV, GenAI, and/or graphics pipelines, and experience with distributed data processing systems.

• Proficient in cloud infrastructure, including S3, Docker containers.

• Basic understanding of (multi) GPU training and inference for debugging and performance assessment, and CUDA runtime.

| RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as a high-responsibility service owner for a broad range of enterprise applications

The range for this role is $100,000 - $700,000.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team designing and deploying our broadcast infrastructure and broadcast operations centers.

• Collaborate with Broadcast Operations, Broadcast Systems, Production, and partners to support live broadcasts.

• Evaluate and guide decisions on IP and new technologies, including cloud and remote productions.

• Develop detailed technical documentation, including schematics, system designs, and user manuals.

• Manage project budgets, cost estimates, and timelines while overseeing multiple projects.

• Maintain production and technical infrastructures, including equipment, content management, and communication systems.

• Experience in reviewing and managing contracts with third-party providers to ensure deliverables

• Design, commission, and implement AV systems, integrating cutting-edge technologies to enhance performance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in management or supervisory roles in Broadcast Engineering.

• Proven experience in designing and maintaining IP-based and virtualized workflows, facilities, and modern broadcast core technologies such as ST-2110 and NMOS, PTP, JPEG-XS, UHD and HDR workflows, SRT, AVC/HEVC, and Zixi.

• Advanced knowledge of networking fundamentals and IP-based workflows.

• Experience with routing platforms for video, media workflow, video transport, and delivery.

• Understanding of ASI, Baseband video signal workflows, and SMPTE standards.

• Familiarity with transport mediums such as private fiber networks, WAN, Satellite, Cellular Bonding, LEO, etc.

• Helping manage external creative agencies, including scheduling meetings, typing up & relaying creative notes

• Helping with internal task management such as helping clean up campaign decks
