Position Expectations

  • Stay at the forefront of the industry by staying abreast of the latest GenAI advancements and leveraging cutting-edge developments to fulfill migration projects
  • Participates as a software developer on small Agile teams, delivering software-based solutions for migrating and modernizing customer legacy applications to MongoDB
  • Follow existing best practice migration playbooks where applicable and be prepared to innovate to fill in gaps with creative solutions to solve challenges on each specific project
  • Actively participate in sprint grooming, planning, and showcases with ideas and suggestions
  • Take direction from the technical lead and project manager on projects, raising identified challenges and potential solutions to the team when applicable
  • Study the current state of each legacy application and the desired target state outlined by the customer and contribute to the planning, design, and solution from getting from source state to target state on each project
  • Be prepared to change project direction if customer or account team priorities change
Requirements
  • 7+ years’ of experience working as a software developer
  • Strong proficiency in Java
  • Strong experience in building applications that interact with relational databases using SQL
  • Some experience of Enterprise Java (J2EE / JavaEE / Spring) application architectures
  • History of delivering high-cadence modern applications with applied Agile methodologies, test-first development approaches, adopting CI/CD pipelines and using Git version control
  • Fluency in both German and English Languages required
Nice-to-have skills
  • Working knowledge of microservices architectures and Domain-Driven Design approaches
  • Some experience and knowledge of Python
  • Some experience and knowledge of JavaScript/Node.js
  • Some experience and knowledge of ORMs like Hibernate or JPA

What you will do

  • Foster a team culture by representing MongoDB’s main core values and leadership principles, encouraging the team to take innovative approaches
  • Measure impact & optimize: Track team performance metrics and ROI, ensuring processes are in place to evaluate the effectiveness of your team and apply insights to improve performance
  • Regular communication to regional sales leaders. Understanding sales priorities and challenges and making sure your team plans embodies these priorities. Bring regular updates on performance and keep them informed about next initiatives and make sure the sales org is updated and trained about best practices
  • Marketing budget optimization. Make sure that resources are allocated effectively and efficiently to achieve the desired outcomes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams like field marketing, partner marketing, customer marketing, demand generation and developer advocacy in order to ensure alignment and support for marketing initiatives
We’re looking for someone with

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred

  • 10+ years of account based marketing, field marketing, industry marketing or sales experience with at least 4 years in a leadership or management position.Tech industry experience preferred but not required
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Individual that leads with integrity, empathy, with a culture of accountability and a clear vision and the ability to inspire others to work towards key leadership principles.Strong understanding of B2B marketing principles, customer journeys, and data analytics.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive organisational change
  • Results-oriented and analytically skilled, capable of interpreting data, making informed data-driven decisions, and reporting insights to regional sales leaders
  • Experience working cross-functionally with enterprise or corporate sales, customer success teams, and account development teams, obsessing over addressable market and specific account goals
  • A passion for continuous learning, innovation, and staying on top of industry trendsExperience working in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and Salesforce, and marketing technology tools like 6sense, Eloqua, Pathfactory, Sigma, Tableau
