Description:

The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Specialist is responsible for developing and managing GSOC operations to ensure the safety and security of the organization's assets, employees, and visitors. This role involves overseeing a team of security professionals, integrating intelligence from various sources to enhance response capabilities, and implementing robust security protocols and procedures. The GSOC Specialist conducts regular risk assessments, oversees security technologies, and ensures compliance with relevant regulations. Reporting to the Manager of Global Security Operations and Systems, the GSOC Specialist collaborates with other departments to maintain a cohesive approach to security and risk management. Applicants must possess technical expertise and key concepts necessary to operate a security operations center effectively

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and develop a team of security professionals and onsite incident responders for the respective facilities

  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to foster a high-performing team

  • Oversees the investigation and response to security/safety incidents, coordinating across departments as necessary, and ensuring timely and accurate communication with affected clients

  • Develop, maintain, and assist with implementing a global SOC design standards program to ensure all locations maintain the same dynamics

  • Liaison with the Security Systems team to facilitate enhancements and maintain uptime objectives

  • Identify, establish and manage an internal user-friendly global security repository that provides all GSOC with the same information

  • Present incident findings, root cause analyses, and remediation recommendations

  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to measure the effectiveness of GSOC activities and identify areas for improvement

  • Should have security access control and video management systems knowledge

  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally as needed (5% to 10% or less travel commitment)

  • Be flexible with work hours in order to communicate with individuals from different time zones

  • Knowledge in the areas of emergency/disaster management, physical security, critical incident stress management, risk management and business resiliency, experience with emergency procedure protocols and regulatory interfaces

  • Being able to work under stressful circumstances but still maintaining a level of calmness while dealing with emergency situations

  • Leads initiatives to improve service capabilities, quality assurance initiatives, and tool/process migrations, integrations, and automation

  • Maintains, develops and documents GSOC playbooks for consistent, high-quality SOC operations, ensuring regular updates to reflect industry best practices and latest threats

  • Ensure 24/7 coverage for global support of incidents, travelrestrictions/incidents,threats, emergency response, and communication


Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree OR minimum of 7 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC), preferably at a global level
  • At least 2 years of experience in an indirect leadership and or mentorship.
  • ASIS Certifications are highly preferred
  • Experience in security technologies including Access Control Systems as well as CCTV systems
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and occasionally stressful environment
  • Proficient in project management
  • Skilled in managing crises and providing frontline leadership in coordinating responses
  • Ability to quickly adapt and address high-priority issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • General

  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of KLA’s global compliance program; lead and track compliance-related projects.

  • Policy Administration:

  • Be a project manager for policy administration across KLA. Maintain and evolve compliance-related policies, particularly around anti-bribery, gifts & entertainment, conflicts of interest, and third-party engagement. Prior experience with digital tools such as the NAVEX suite, including PolicyTech, and building O365 SharePoint sites is strongly preferred.

  • Third-Party Due Diligence & Management:

  • Lead end-to-end due diligence and risk assessments for third parties (involving state-owned enterprises or higher-risk jurisdictions), ensuring appropriate onboarding, renewal, and escalation processes are followed in accordance with anti-corruption laws and KLA policies.

  • Conflicts of Interest:

  • Administer and enhance the KLA conflicts of interest process, including disclosure reviews, mitigation planning, and employee training in partnership with HR and business units.

  • Metrics and Reporting:

  • Develop and lead dashboards and reporting tools to track compliance activities, identify trends, and report key insights to senior leaders and governance committees. Working experience with Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, or other data analytics and/or visualization tools is a plus.

  • Cross-Functional Partnership:

  • Serve as a compliance advisor to business collaborators and work with Legal, HR, Procurement, Finance, and other key departments to support a culture of compliance.

  • Internal Audit Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Internal Audit to align on risk assessment priorities, share findings related to anti-corruption and third-party risk, and support audit readiness and remediation efforts.

  • Regulatory Monitoring:

  • Stay informed of legal and regulatory developments impacting anti-corruption and third-party risk, and recommend enhancements to policies and procedures as needed.

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4-year college degree equivalent required, and 1 or more compliance certifications a plus (e.g., CCEP, CFE).

  • At least 5+ years of compliance, legal or risk management experience, preferably working in a large global corporate or legal environment.

  • Strong working knowledge of global compliance frameworks, including FCPA, UK Bribery Act, etc.

  • Hands-on experience with third-party risk platforms and policy management tools (e.g. due diligence software, case management systems, NAVEX suite including PolicyTech).

  • Demonstrated success working cross-functionally, particularly with Internal Audit or enterprise risk management functions.

  • Analytical approach with strong attention to detail and process improvement.

  • Excellent project management, organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • High integrity and a commitment to ethical conduct.

  • Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years
