Responsibilities

• Design and develop machine learning software solutions for semiconductor device and thin film metrology
• Work with both internal and external customers to define requirements for these software solutions
• Build machine learning-based software solutions

• Design, develop, implement, oversee, and adapt API
• Extend prototypes into fully functional, polished solutions ready for internal and/or external use

Required Qualifications

• Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related) with at least 3 years of hands-on image processing algos

• Experience: Minimum 3+ years of professional algo development experience focusing on Graph algorithms, spatial data structures, and numerical optimization with efficient handling of geometric queries and transformations. Proven track record of delivering software projects from design to deployment.

• Programming Skills: Deep understanding of operating systems, computer networks, and high performance applications. Good mental model of the architecture of a modern distributed systems that is comprised of CPUs, GPUs, and accelerators. Proficiency in Python (especially with libraries like trimesh, numpy, scipy, pandas). Experience with C++ or Rust is a plus for performance-critical geometry tasks. Strong background in modern and advanced C++ concepts. Strong Scripting Skills in Bash, Python, or similar.Good communication with the ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.

• Team Collaboration: Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team setting. Comfortable collaborating with diverse team members (developers, testers, domain experts) and conveying technical ideas clearly.

• DevOps & CI/CD: Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and workflows. Knowledge of setting up CI/CD pipelines using platforms like Azure DevOps , Jenkins, or GitHub Actions to automate build and deployment processes

Experience with container technologies (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) for deploying microservices is a plus. Familiarity with cloud services or infrastructure (Azure, AWS, etc.) for scalable deployment environments

A software manager in this position will have the following responsibilities:

Responsible for the design, development, testing and roll out of software solutions that enhance the capabilities of the KLA inspection machines. Possess good communication skills to work with several hardware and software interdisciplinary teams to understand the system/marketing requirements and to guide teams on software requirements and design. Candidate should (over time) develop deep understanding of how the system works and be able to provide software solutions for critical customer gaps or issues. Develop and evaluate concepts and designs for the next generation systems by overseeing trade-off studies, identifying risk items and suggest mitigation plans. Work in a geographically distributed team to develop and deliver software solutions. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where communication and collaboration with a large multi-disciplinary team is a significant part of the job. That is, aligning with a fairly large set of external stakeholders and being able to internalize their product needs and delivering to those needs is an indispensable part of this position.

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
