As a Senior Accountant within Campbell Global’s Client Accounting group, you will take on a leading role in managing the general ledger and overseeing all accounting tasks for the Funds under your supervision. Collaborating closely with Cash Management, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable, your role will ensure the books are closed accurately and promptly. Your duties will encompass the preparation of monthly and/or quarterly client financial statements, investor reports, and annual audit reports. Additionally, you will be involved in researching and implementing new accounting processes and procedures. Your role is crucial in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the accounting system, client reporting, and accounting procedures.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly client financial statements as well as special ad-hoc reports for investors.
  • Prepare annual audit support and tax schedules.
  • Prepare and analyze journal entries and maintain all general ledger supporting schedules and reconciliations.
  • Perform fixed asset accounting (maintain fixed asset register and maintain the capital expenditures system).
  • Have the ability to learn and understand reporting differences between US GAAP and IFRS.
  • Review check requests, bank statements, adjustments to accounts payable and receivable, and cash management.
  • Respond to internal and external information requests in conjunction with management and team members.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • Three years’ work experience in Accounting, other qualified experienced candidates will be considered.
  • High proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience with Investment Accounting and tax.

  • Demonstrates industry and product knowledge by understanding the competition, the clients and marketplace

JOB SUMMARY:

As an Associate in Portfolio Management at Campbell Global, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the development and execution of client investment strategies.   • Support continued analysis of existing carbon projects on assets under management.

  • Develop executive summary materials to present investment analytics to internal and external audiences.
  • Support the continued enhancement of CG’s proprietary planning and valuation tools, resources, and reporting systems.
  • Actively participate within the organization to ensure all timberland management investment services meet or exceed client commitments.
  • Represent Campbell Global at all levels, maintaining positive public relations.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Advanced degree in Forestry, Natural Resources or closely related field; and a minimum of three years working experience in a related field; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Experience with harvest scheduling software and methods. Demonstrated experience and proficiency using the Remsoft’s Woodstock suite of tools.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in CG’s core investment regions including an understanding of forest product markets, inventory, forest growth and yield, forest operations and silvicultural management regimes.
