Job responsibilities

  • Manage closing and delivery of commercial real estate multifamily loans (GSE), primarily Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, from application to post closing status
  • Work closely with outside counsel, credit officers and bankers on various transactional matters to ensure that the anticipated time frames are met
  • Ensure that the appropriate requirements are received and required approvals are obtained for the issuance of commitment letters and rate lock
  • Review loan documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with Lender and Agency requirements
  • Prepare and issue Commitment Letters, Prepare escrow analysis and Closing Statements in preparation of loan closing
  • Work closely with counsel and credit teams on loan document negotiations and modifications
  • Ensure all approvals and waivers are in place including insurance reviews and confirmation on payment of taxes
  • Ensure compliance with bank policies, procedures and regulatory requirements are met
  • Coordinate with outside counsel, title/escrow and closing partners to ensure timely funding on closing day
  • Confirm loan information in systems and documents are accurate for loan servicing and boarding
  • Prepare and submit the final data and upload the appropriate documents timely and accurately to ensure final settlement with the appropriate agency

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 3+ years of experience with closing and delivery of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac multifamily loans."
  • Knowledge of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac applications.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, interact, and collaborate.
  • Ability to train and provide guidance to less experienced associates
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to resolve issues with management guidance
