As a Technology Support Lead in the Corporate Technology organization, you will play a leadership role in ensuring the operational stability, availability, and performance of our production services. Critical thinking while overseeing day-to-day maintenance of the firm’s systems will be key and set you up for success as you navigate tasks related to identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues to ensure a seamless user experience.

Job responsibilities

• Lead teams of technologists that provide end-to-end application or infrastructure service delivery for the successful business operations of the firm
• Executes policies and procedures that ensure operational stability and availability
• Escalates and communicate issues and solutions to the business and technology stakeholders,actively participating from incident resolution to servicerestoration
• Provides end-to-end application or infrastructure service delivery for the successful business operations of the Corporate Technology applications
• Analyzes and troubleshoots application issues, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions to prevent recurrence
• Monitors systems for issues and responding to incidents promptly; includes leading the diagnosis and resolving technical problems to minimize downtime
• Identifies opportunities to enhance system performance and implements optimizations to improve efficiency
• Creates system automation and support tools to streamline processes and reduce manual workload for application support teams

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining information technology services
• Experience managing applications or infrastructure in a large-scale technology environment both on premises and public cloud, data products such as Databricks or Snowflake
• Expertise in coding or automation scripting using Python
• Practical experience with AWS
• Experience managing applications or infrastructure in a large-scale technology environment both on premises and public cloud
• Proficient in observability and monitoring tools and techniques
• Demonstrated experience in application and product support
• Experience executing on processes in scope of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Advanced in Java JDK 17+ and Spring Boot
• Experience working in hybrid environments, On-Prem and Public Cloud (AWS)
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
• Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
• Practical cloud native experience

• Hands-on knowledge of Ansible, Ansible Tower, Ansible Automation Platform
• Experience in declarative Infrastructure as Code and procedural Software Configuration Management approaches and solutions
• Expert knowledge of Unix and Windows networking and scripting
• Practical CI/CD and pipeline development in Groovy or similar

• Hands-on experience designing, developing and deploying software components on AWS using common compute and storage services such as ECS, Lambda, S3, and Aurora RDS
• Demonstrated ability in leading and managing software engineering teams, with a focus on individual growth and overall team performance.
• Expertise in working with REST APIs & Kafka Messages, ensuring efficient communication and integration between different systems
• Proven experience in providing end-user support with excellent problem-solving abilities
• Advanced knowledge of Unix, Windows, networking and scripting

• Certified AWS Cloud Practitioner, Developer or Solutions Architect
• Proficient in using Terraform to deploy infrastructure-as-code to public cloud
• Experience in Linux scripting such as Bash, KSH and Front End Technologies
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
