CIB Identity Senior Software Engineer

In this role, you will take part in some of our most innovative engineering work, such as:

  • Modernizing our authentication and authorization platforms across channels and domains
  • Evaluating and prototyping cutting-edge internal and vendor solutions for user authentication
  • Integrating innovative anti-fraud and biometric authentication solutions into our customer-facing applications
  • Using APIs and SDKs for both niche solutions as well as open standards
  • Driving quality and efficiency of the software development lifecycle
  • Setting and modeling high technical standards for team

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Expertise in application and data architecture disciplines
  • Advanced knowledge of architecture, design and business processes
  • Ability to work collaboratively in local and global teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals.
  • Experience with Authentication and modern authentication practices and solutions (such as OAuth2/OpenID Connect, SAML, Facebook Login, Google Sign-In) a plus.
  • Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages; Java strongly preferred. Cloud native experience such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Flexibility to work across disparate technology stacks and applications.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates and champions site reliability culture and practices and exerts technical influence throughout your team
  • Leads initiatives to improve the reliability and stability of your team’s applications and platforms using data-driven analytics to improve service levels
  • Collaborates with team members to identify comprehensive service level indicators and stakeholders to establish reasonable service level objectives and error budgets with customers
  • Demonstrates a high level of technical expertise within one or more technical domains and proactively identifies and solves technology-related bottlenecks in your areas of expertise
  • Acts as the main point of contact from SRE team during major incidents for your application and demonstrates the skills to identify and solve issues quickly.
  • Actively participate in an L3 activities by partnering with Production Management to support the DPS applications systems in terms of Availability, Stability and Performance. Acts as the final line of defense against complex technical issues, ensuring that critical systems and services remain operational and reliable.
  • Execute software solutions, including design, development, and technical troubleshooting, with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or resolve technical problems.
  • Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data, using these insights to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.
  • Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate the remediation of recurring issues to enhance the overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, understanding and aligning with business objectives.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts with 10+ years applied experience
  • Proficient in coding in Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Rest API, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular JS/React JS and jQuery.
  • Experience in container and container orchestration (e.g., ECS, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.)
  • Experience in SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience in L3 (Level 3) activities as Deep-Dive Troubleshooting, Code-Level Debugging, System Architecture Review.
  • Proficiency and experience in observability such as white and black box monitoring, SLO alerting, and telemetry collection using tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk, etc.
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
  • Tools used in Software Development(Jira, Git, Confluence , SourceTree , maven , Bitbucket, idea (IntelliJ) etc.)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • AWS Certifications
  • Exposure in Infra Engineering and Network Engineering
  • Experience in banking or financial domain

Your role requires building strong relationships with internal and external customers, managing expectations, and providing timely updates on onboarding progress.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the KYC book of work for your designated Front Office sub-Line of Business, prioritizing active requests and providing status updates.
  • Build and develop strong partnerships, identifying challenges and eliminating roadblocks with all internal partners.
  • Work with Front Office teams to obtain necessary supporting evidence for KYC due diligence.
  • Ensure all client information is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate case prioritization, capacity planning, and assignment with back office teams.
  • Stay updated on process changes, regulatory changes, and communicate impacts to business partners.
  • Manage personal workload and priorities, escalating key risks/issues to management as needed.
  • Identify and execute process improvements, providing guidance on key process and technology initiatives.
  • Serve as a role model to peers, driving training and sharing of best practices.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in banking / finance sector.
  • Working knowledge of KYC/Compliance/AML standards.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with experience in conflict resolution.
  • Resilient interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively with business partners and senior managers.
  • Client-focused with a strong controls mindset.
  • Hands-on approach with attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Full proficiency in English and Hebrew.
  • Proactive and flexible approach to workload and team targets.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills for maximum productivity.

  • Sound understanding of the Financial Industry.
