Job Responsibilities:

  • Creating financial models and detailed valuation analysis for pitches / projects
  • Interacting with senior team members and client management teams to execute transactions and identifying and managing all risks in a given deal
  • Guiding, reviewing and coordinating the analytic work of junior bankers to move marketing / execution process forward
  • Liaising with internal and external parties on transactions (e.g. lawyers, accountants, counterparties)
  • Providing leadership and mentorship in guiding and training junior bankers

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance/Economics or a related field from a top tier educational institution
  • Minimum 1 year of work experience in an investment banking front office role

  • Understands transaction cycle and the steps in the process and is execution oriented

We do this by providing sound advice, helping them access funds and making connections, all while helping clients manage the many risks in today’s complex environment.

The J.P. Morgan Investment Banking Case Competition (“JPMIBCC”) puts you right in the middle of the action. JPMIBCC offers students a fun, interactive and professional learning experience whilst getting a unique first-hand experience of the firm’s culture. Through a hypothetical case study, you'll find out what it takes to work as an Analyst in Investment Banking.

Eligibility

  • Students enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s Degree Program in their pre-penultimate year graduating between April 2027 and December 2027 from universities located in Australia.
  • Eligible candidates must be an Australian citizen / Australian Permanent Resident / New Zealand citizen at the time of application submission.

Application Process

  1. Submit your application through this portal. Each team member must individually register on the J.P. Morgan website with a CV/Resume uploaded; as such, there should be 2-4 individual applications for each team.
  2. Please include your team name and list of team member on the CV, and ensure all team members meet the above eligibility.

When the case study is released to eligible applicants on 2 September 2025, you will be sent a copy of the Terms & Conditions document for the competition, by completing the registration form and/or participating in the Competition, you unconditionally agree to all of these Terms & Conditions.

Winners of the JPMIBCC will be prioritized for final round interviews in our(winter internship) held in one of our Australian offices. (Winner will still need to formally apply for the role and meet the eligibility criteria and minimum requirements of the role to be considered for a position).
