What You’ll Be Doing:
Support Design team and other team members on daily engineering tasks
Support Engineering calculations and develop tools for efficient calculation output.
Support the design and test of engineering prototypes.
Support the root cause analysis of component failures.
Technical report writing
Hands-on support of components and testing
Support the development and deployment of test equipment and fixtures.
Work in compliance with Johnson Electric FPS Safety, Quality, and Environmental systems
Work in compliance with SPS (Johnson Electric Production System)
Interaction with production operators, technicians, and other key resources to assist with the documentation, standardization, and improvement of processes.

Mechanical aptitude

What You’ll Be Doing:
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager and working with the Operations, Quality, and Engineering, departments, maintain and repair facilities and production equipment
Work with other team members in order to complete the implementation of new or modified production machines in conjunction with new manufacturing projects
Ensure operational quality and efficiency targets are maintained
Maintenance of Quality Operating Systems with respect to equipment maintenance as per ISO/TS 16949 Standards

The Junior Engineering Specialist position is responsible for providing support to engineering activities and initiatives at JEC-Mississauga Plant 1 focusing on the development of new and existing product lines. The position requires creativity, flexibility and initiative to resolve recurrent issues through the application of resources combined with the gathering and analysis of available data.
Responsibilities
Active participation in the development and implementation of processes, part development and equipment selection / installation.
Prepare SPC (Statistical Process Control) reports for internal and external review using statistical software such as JMP.
Collect and organize production data to maintain and improve process and tool capability thru SPC.
Provide assistance in the recommendation of modifications to tooling, plant equipment and prototypes in development, to permit economical manufacturing; or to meet performance specifications and the requirements of serviceability.
Support and participate in production team meetings to review and resolve Quality, Service, Operations, Facilities, Human Resources and Health & Safety issues when required.
Be a technical resource and support to the human resources, processes, products and equipment employed within the area to which you may be assigned on a day-to-day basis.
Contribute towards meeting the goals of producing quality parts, on-time and at the lowest possible cost.
Assist in the development of Standardized work
Work in compliance with JEC Mississauga, Quality and HSE policies and procedures.
Communicate with the Production and other Departments on a regular basis to keep them well informed of the progress in technological advances made within the scope of this position.
Work in compliance with JEC Mississauga Quality and EHS Policies and Procedures, including IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001.

Job Requirements
Third or Fourth Year Manufacturing Engineering Student
Accomplished problem solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to excel in a results oriented, fast paced and customer-focused environment.
Self motivated and experienced in leading continuous improvement initiatives in all aspects of the business.
Background in automotive or similar manufacturing environments preferred

The Supply Chain Services Co-op will support the procurement and supply chain functions by engaging in various tasks related to sourcing, purchasing, and cost analysis. This position will contribute to special projects and participate in cost reduction initiatives.
Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Obtain quotes from suppliers
Summarize cost comparisons
Participate in negotiations for pricing and delivery
Review, support requisitions to ensure appropriate documentation to secure goods or services
Issue and maintain purchase orders for the business units
Work with team on special projects and capital purchases
Maintain and organize files on suppliers, special projects and requisitions that are issued
Special projects for cost reductions both self-generated and assigned (Progress is reported on a weekly basis)
Support office with supply of material and maintenance
Purchasing data analysis with the training on PowerBI provided by company
