As our next, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our power and steam plant. Your expertise in boiler operations, water testing, and equipment maintenance will be essential in maintaining reliable plant operations and supporting overall production efficiency.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Assist the Chief Stationary Engineer in safe and efficient power plant operations
• Perform water testing on boilers and cooling systems; adjust control systems to maintain ideal operating conditions
• Conduct routine rounds to check plant equipment, maintain logs (manual and computerized), and create repair requests
• Support plant maintenance staff in equipment repairs and housekeeping
• Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions to improve productivity
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and installations under the Preventative Maintenance Program
• Monitor, test, and log all steam-generating requirements by operation code
• Attend required meetings and report activities to the Chief Stationary Engineer
• Adhere to Johnson Electric’s policies, safety, environmental, and quality management systems (IATF 16949, ISO 9001)
• Perform other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For:

• 4th Class (or higher) Stationary Engineer certification in good standing with T.S.S.A.
• 2–3 years of experience as a Stationary Engineer in a manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• High integrity, dependability, and results-driven mindset

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Experience with preventative maintenance programs in manufacturing environments
• Strong troubleshooting skills in power/steam plant systems

  • Performing routine equipment maintenance and installations as per the Preventative Maintenance Program.
  • Adhering and Supporting Safety and Environmental policies and practices.
  • Ensuring the requirements of the Quality Management System, IATF 16949, and ISO 9001 are conformed to.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Comfortable working part-time on weekends and to cover vacations
  • 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment as a 4th Class Stationary Engineer.
  • Strong knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office software such as Excel and Word.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, at all levels of the organization.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.

  • Working as a team member to complete the implementation of new or modified production machines in conjunction with new manufacturing projects.
  • Ensuring adherence to ISO 45001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, ISO 9001, all International policies, and any other industry standards in all activities.
  • Ensuring that all levels of safety are implemented into each automation change.
  • Completing run-at-rate process performance testing in conjunction with manufacturing operations.
  • Specifying and sourcing materials and equipment to best suit requirements.
  • Traveling between locations both domestic and international.
  • Coordinating continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Performing other related duties as required.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A technical diploma or degree in engineering technology and/or relevant industrial experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in an automation/controls environment.
  • Hands-on technical skills with respect to Electrical Systems, Hydraulic Systems, Pneumatic Systems.
  • Expert level in PLC programming (Omron NJ) and Robot programming (Fanuc).
  • Knowledge of LabVIEW-based systems and ability to program them is a definite asset.
  • Understanding of the SQL database and related software.
  • Understanding of automotive systems and quality requirements based on IATF 16949/ISO 9001 operating systems.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
