Jacobs is seeking Staff Archaeologists to support a variety of projects in Northern California. This position provides cultural resources support for planning, engineering, and construction services to commercial clients. We offer flexible hours and benefits, and this position is available as either depending on candidate availability and organizational needs:

• part-time, on-call (without benefits), or
• part-time at 21+ hours per week (with benefits), or
• full-time (with benefits)

The archaeologist career path provides the opportunity to work on projects that require compliance with the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), Archaeological Resources Protection Act (ARPA), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), and state regulations. All work will be conducted under the guidance of senior cultural resources staff.

As a, you will perform a variety of tasks in the operation and maintenance of a water/wastewater treatment plant on an assigned shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Preforms routine serving and corrective maintenance of water and wastewater collection systems.

• Cleans vehicles, heavy equipment, pumps, tools, and other stationary and portable equipment

• Preforms routine inspections of vehicles and equipment; performs minor maintenance and lubrication of machinery such as changing oil and greasing equipment.

• Operates and maintains vehicles, equipment and tools required to load, unload, haul and spread sand, gravel, dirt and / or waste products ( sludge, product waste, packaging waste, etc.); digs and refills ditched and trenches.

• Carries or holds materials, supplies and tools to assist operations and maintenance personnel

• Maintains grounds and buildings; cuts grass, weeds and brush; trims trees and bushes; rakes grass, leaves and trash, seeds and cares for lawns and ornamental plantings.

• Understand and carries out oral and written directions

• Works safely and adheres to established safety procedures

• Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with those contacted during the course of work

• Ability to carry and respond to pages as requested by management

• Ability and willingness to work on-call shifts, as requested, including being fit and able to respond to call-ins in a timely manner.

• Performs other duties as required

As anbased in
Eldorado, NM,you’ll join a collaborative team ensuring that our clients can deliver their services – uninterrupted. Based in Eldorado, NM you’ll perform a variety of tasks in the operation and maintenance of a water treatment and distribution system. You’ll contribute to the success of our program with efficient preventive maintenance, establishing and maintaining effective sample procedures of plant operations and effluent, and providing effective solutions to complex challenges that may arise. You’ll diagnose operating problems, make process control adjustments, direct and perform necessary corrective action. You’ll also prepare reports, collect samples, perform laboratory testing, determine proper chemical flow rates, maintain shift logs and perform other duties as required. Most importantly, you’ll take action to ensure the safety, health and well-being of you and your team.
