As anEntry-Level Smart Metering Consultant, you will collaborate with a team of subject matter experts in Smart Metering to deliver meter infrastructure upgrades to water utility clients around the world, enabling organizational and digital transformation for our clients through the implementation of new water metering systems. You will aid with reviewing and tailoring detailed request for proposal technical specifications to water utility objectives. You will support the implementation project management for utilities undergoing large-scale meter replacement projects, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities:

• The Smart Metering Consultant supports the implementation of smart metering projects for water utilities.
• Utilizes existing procedures to coordinate with water utility and contractor to schedule meter locations for replacement.
• Completes detailed review of project invoices, including validation of network connectivity for installed equipment.
• Attends weekly meetings with contractor and utility, compiling key performance metrics and insight into project progress.
• Reviews data collection for quality assurance and coordinates with other Smart Metering Experts to resolve issues with contractor.

Responsibilities:

Perform independent complex inspections of roadways and structure construction processes and materials to assure compliance with the construction contract. Perform moderately complex inspections. Oversee construction management on small to midsize roadway/bridge projects. Work includes inspecting asphalt and concrete for acceptable materials and mix; pavement for proper spreading, rolling, depth, alignment and compaction; roadways and structures for conformance to plans, and specifications; structural materials and members; placement of culverts; structural operations such as foundation excavation; placement of piling, reinforcing and structural steel, concrete and backfill; and traffic control and erosion control devices. Perform the more complex variety of calculations and computations. Perform contract documentation duties, which includes field measurements of pay items as well as other department required documentation. Participating in concept meetings, field plan reviews (preliminary and/or final), CPM schedule reviews, project close-out, and other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

As a Junior Construction Estimator, you will assist in preparing detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs. You will help compile and submit bids for new projects, ensuring all required documentation and pricing information is accurate and complete. You will analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to understand project scope and requirements. Additionally, you will communicate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing and availability information. You will enter and maintain project data in estimating software and databases, conduct site visits to gather information and verify project conditions, and prepare and present reports on cost estimates, project budgets, and other relevant data to senior estimators and project managers. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure accurate and timely estimates.
