The employee will work alongside our local team and support senior level engineers and project managers to perform the following tasks:

• Assist senior and mid-level engineers on larger, complex projects, including task management.
• Participate in and lead tasks.
• Perform a wide variety of routine assignments which are clearly defined and require the application of standard design engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
• Independently evaluate the selection and/or modification of standard techniques, procedures, criteria, and systems to efficiently meet project goals.
• Prepare planning documents, reports, studies, and calculations.
• Prepare models, engineering specifications, data sheets, sketches, drawings and perform calculations in support of engineering activities.
• Possess a positive attitude, are dependable and meet assigned project deadlines.
• Effectively work with project teams with diverse technical skill sets and geographic locations.
• Display strong communication and interpersonal skills and work in a fast-paced consulting environment.
• Collaborate on and contribute to maintaining and building strong client relationships.
• Work with project managers and clients to understand needs and be able to come up with digital solutions to fill those needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leverage automation software and programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL, R, Spark to help streamline digital solutions
• Prioritize data governance and data management best practices
• Work with GIS teams and Power BI groups to help find new ways to deliver integrated solutions more effectively
• Ability to create GIS and Power BI exhibits and support respective teams
• Support our internal digital team in project support and solution scalability
• Work with project managers and clients to understand needs and be able to come up with digital solutions to fill those needs
• Works with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions

We’re seeking an experienced sediment scientist or engineer to participate in complex sediment remediation projects for both federal and private clients.

Based anywhere out of the United States, you’ll have the opportunity to work on sediment projects across the country, delivering projects through the full lifecycle with a strong focus and emphasis on sediment investigation, feasibility and remedial design. You’ll grow your career as you interact with key clients to grow our business, work with technical experts to develop and implement comprehensive site strategies and deliver innovative solutions on some of the most challenging and industry-recognized sites. With a Jacobs team, you’ll spearhead technical strategies and manage technical tasks, engage with clients, senior technical consultants, and subject matter experts, and mentor staff.
