The USVI Office of Disaster Recovery, a division of the Virgin Islands Public Finance Authority, has entrusted us with the critical task of managing and supporting federally funded recovery projects across the U.S. Virgin Islands. Our work will involve overseeing the reconstruction of key educational, healthcare and infrastructure projects, all of which were severely impacted by Hurricanes Irma and Maria in 2017. We are looking for a highly collaborative Infrastructure Cross Functional Senior Project Manager who will be responsible for the management of cross functional areas in support of the infrastructure projects of this multi-billion dollar disaster recovery program. In this crucial role, you’ll oversee and optimize the flow of services and information within Jacobs and the US Virgin Islands program. Based at the client site in the US Virgin Islands, you’ll be responsible for managing and collaboration with the project teams and overall program delivery for the infrastructure sector. This will include the management of the project stakeholders, project development from conception through completion in accordance with the program objectives and coordination of infrastructure managers across all projects. You will manage, provide oversight, and facilitate resolution to complex project related challenges.

As a member of our program management team, you will manage the pre-construction and construction phases of our infrastructure projects working with our team of grants administrators, schedulers, risk, document, design review, commercial, environmental management team. You will also manage handover coordination with operations and maintenance managers along with logistics, sector coordinator and project cost support.

Aviation Senior Project Manager

When you join us, you’ll manage and lead the ongoing progress of projects, including the coordination of the project with the client, subconsultants, and other outside agencies as needed. We’ll ask you to conceptualize the initial civil design approach for major phases of land/site development, airfield improvements, and related projects, and have overall responsibility for the civil engineering work.

You will utilize your expertise to plan and conduct work requiring evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation/modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. Additionally, you’ll use advanced techniques to modify and extend civil engineering theories, precepts, and practices.

will resolve a variety of complex problems, (i.e., conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements) and develop resilient solutions. Local experience with North Carolina airports is essential, and an interest or experience in developing relationships with NC airports to expand Jacobs' business and reach within the NC airport communities is highly valued.

As part of our team, you will also be entrusted with the following responsibilities:

• Building client business opportunities and supporting project proposal teams through proposal development.
• Supervising design tasks and driving the ongoing progress of a project, including coordination with the client, city, state, and county officials, as well as other outside agencies as needed.
• Leading, coordinating, and reviewing the work of less experienced engineers and technical support personnel assigned to the project.
• Participating in contract bidding and administration; observing project actions on-site.
• Providing mentorship to more junior staff.
• Scope and develop level of effort for new projects

As a key member of our global wastewater technology team and based out of the Charlotte office, you’ll have the chance to challenge yourself and perform a variety of municipal wastewater treatment projects, from the initial planning and design phases of projects through start-up and commissioning. You should have a broad understanding of wastewater treatment and a focused interest in residuals management. Working with other members of our team, you'll work on projects evaluating and selecting the best treatment approach to solve a client’s challenges and planning and designing treatment systems and plant improvements. As part of our team, you will also have the opportunity to lead and mentor staff.
