As the facilities, you will work on projects that enable the heart of our client’s manufacturing in
Boise, ID. You and other team members will work closely with client owners in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. In this role you will work on the client’s behalf to edit client specifications, review and provide feedback/comments on designs, specs, and drawings. As the electrical engineering representative on a multi-discipline design team, your primary duties will be to review design packages focused on Electrical / Instrumentation & Controls deliverables prepared by others.

Your responsibilities will include engineering and design oversight for facility power distribution systems, grounding, lighting, and low voltage controls and communications systems in some of the most complex industrial facilities on the planet.

We’re looking for a Civil Engineering – CAD Technician to support innovative waste solutions and other projects.

Based out of our Boise, ID office or one of our other Jacobs offices in the Western US, you’ll support solid waste, remediation, and sustainability projects for numerous public and private clients in key market areas. We are looking for a driven CAD Technician with interest and experience in civil engineering projects, such as infrastructure, utilities, water/wastewater works, site development, etc., to support waste solutions. You will help Jacobs advance the industry by delivering sustainable solutions that help our clients.

You’ll connect with other Jacobs practitioners throughout the US and Canadian markets to design innovative and sustainable solutions for our clients. You’ll be responsible for preparing drawings and sketches using CAD workstations while working closely with Design Engineers and Project Managers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Perform CAD work in a 3D environment using latest CAD software
• Create detailed civil engineering plans and drawings using CAD software from sketches, layouts, or notes provided by engineers
• Update CAD standard details
• Organize and maintain CAD files
• Produce drawing deliverables in electronic format (PDF) and paper copies
• Participate in all phases of project delivery, under the direction of Engineers, Project Managers, and the Lead Designer
• Review drawings for completeness
• Analyze sketches, notes, and other input material to determine and plan the best approach to develop designs with minimal supervision
• Understand scope of work, required CAD Standards, and use good judgment to determine if the drawings will comply with the scope of work, known regulations, and client expectations

We're looking for an Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer in Boise, ID who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. You’ll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget and schedule. You’ll also provide on-site assistance during startup, coordinating work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead. Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team will successfully deliver on the design, development, application, evaluation, recommendation, and specification of engineered systems and products for building HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection Systems.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of Oracle DBAs, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
• Oversee the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of Oracle database systems, including Exadata and Data Guard environments.
• Ensure database availability, integrity, security, and performance across production, development, and test environments.
• Collaborate with application development, analytics, and infrastructure teams to support business initiatives and application requirements.
• Drive patching, upgrades, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery strategies in compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX).
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Establish and maintain documentation, standards, and policies for database management and operations.
• Manage capacity planning, licensing, and cost optimization of Oracle environments.
• Participate in strategic planning for cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Serve as a technical escalation point and contribute to incident and problem management processes.
• Plus experience with EBS application modules and web logic

• Make drawing edits based on mark ups from client and/or Engineers

• Create and/or modify base drawings

• Be relied on as productive team member and CAD user to work a typical set of project documents from beginning to end with professional quality output that conforms to company or client standards

• Be able to work on multiple projects at the same time

• Follow CAD standards and process Required Credentials

• A general understanding of Civil 3D styles and functionality
