to join our Canadian Planning Practice. You will bein Ontario alignedone of our offices in
Toronto or Ottawa. You’ll be working on exciting and engaging transportation projects for our public sector clients across North America with a strong focus on the Ontario market. You’ll be working in a hybrid arrangement from home and from one of our offices (Toronto or Ottawa), with the expectation of
for client meetings and team meetings.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Deliver transportation/transit planning projects.
  • Coordinate with local authorities, transit agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment and support.
  • Lead the preparation of materials to support public/stakeholder engagement and participate in outreach activities to gather input and build consensus on solutions
  • Stayup-to-datewith industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities, challenges, and risks for clients
  • Represent Jacobs at industry events (conferences, webinars, etc.)
  • Secure and strengthen long term client partnerships and drive near to long term growth in the transit planning space, through:
    • Partnering with our operations, sales and market solutions leaders at a local, geographic and regional scale to develop unique and valued client propositions.
    • Leading and/or producing high quality thought leadership content and using unique insights to engage our clients.
    • Being highly influential in the winning of our most important opportunities and ensuring appropriate engagement and collaboration across our Market Solutions/Subject Matter Experts.
    • Stewardship of technical solutions and driving innovation on our projects, actively involved in quality and risk management, leveraging expertise to ensure efficiency of delivery.
  • Attract, develop, and retain top talent, through:
    • Collaborating with our leaders to develop and implement hiring strategies in the planning space.
    • Intentional involvement in external professional organizations and conferences.
    • Active participation in our Communities of Practices to share your experiences and knowledge.
    • Actively coaching, mentoring, sponsoring and trainingour people.
    • Engagement of resources across Jacobs, including our Global Integrated Delivery teams.

Your impact

At Jacobs, Quality Assurance is crucial to the success of our projects and the strong relationships we have with our clients. As an experienced Project Quality Assurance Lead, you’ll work on specifying the quality requirements during the tendering phase followed by developing and implementing an effective project quality assurance plan during the development and implementation phase. The plans you develop will be used for identifying project KPIs, processes, procedures, audit schedules and other assurance measures, through which you will monitor the quality performance of all parties to enforce their contractual obligations with regards to quality. As part of a larger quality organization you’ll have the support, means and space to innovate for the project and influence continual improvement of the organization.

Based in
Toronto, ON,you will use your communication and negotiation skills to guide, influence, and convince others. This will include interacting internally with the Project Delivery Team and corporate office departments; and externally with various contractual parties involved in the project, such as prime contractors and consultant advisors, hired by the Owner for successful delivery of the project, as well as other Third-Parties such as utility companies, municipalities, and agencies. You’ll own your career development as you work on some of the most complex infrastructure projects of our time.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Facilitating a Quality Working Group to coordinate project parties
  • Planning, and conducting audits, including reporting and follow-up on nonconformances and opportunities for improvement
  • Facilitating Lessons Learned gathering, distribution and tracking of implementation actions
  • Leading or facilitating Root Cause Analysis for quality issue investigations
  • Validating project Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) that are identified by the contractor, the field QA Services consultant, or by the integrated project delivery team.
  • Monitoring NCR dispositions and facilitating quality assurance of technical decisions with respect to correction, corrective actions, and verification.
