Your impact

This role is a recognised technical specialist in the application of advanced theory and concepts of Digital Engineering. You will adopt ISO19650 workflows and practices to work collaboratively with other disciplines, taking responsibility for coordinating the development of design deliverables to agreed quality, time, and budget.

Working under the direction of the Digital Engineering Lead, you will work closely with project managers, design managers, and discipline BIM leads, and inspire them to strive for innovation while maintaining outstanding digital delivery.

Coordination of Global Integrated Delivery teams will be a key part of your role. An objective will be to train and develop teams to become proficient in the digital standards and requirements for delivering projects.

Key skills include:

• Demonstrated understanding of ISO19650 standards and process.

• Ability to self-manage and prioritise tasks to ensure delivery of project deliverables within budget, program, and quality constraints.

• Advanced knowledge of a range of modelling applications and CAD skills, with strong knowledge of data transfer between key software packages

• Experienced in the management of Common Data Environments

• Experience in a variety of projects – across a range of disciplines, with extensive experience in a specific discipline.

• Decision making – identifies issues, problems and opportunities & chooses appropriate action.

• Maintain high work standards, minimise errors and attention to detail.

• Work co-operatively and respect others’ opinions to achieve team objectives.

• Ability to perform steadily during peak workload and remain calm under pressure.

• Familiar with automating repetitive activities, coding bespoke processes will be an advantage.

We're looking for an experienced and collaborative Wastewater Lead who will lead and deliver projects with key municipal clients. As Wastewater Lead, you will leverage your project management, technical experience, and leadership skills to optimize the delivery team’s performance and consistently deliver high-quality technical solutions for our clients. You'll work on infrastructure projects, evaluating and selecting the best treatment approach to solve a client’s challenges, along with planning and designing treatment systems and plant improvements. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of treatment processes, and you’ll play an important role in improving the resiliency of our clients’ assets. The Wastewater Lead should have a demonstrated record of successful project delivery, maintaining client relationships, and working to ensure that Jacobs is the consultant-of-choice. Jacobs’ South Atlantic water practice has more than 400 high-performing individuals delivering innovative solutions to top-tier clients. The Wastewater Lead role is based in our Atlanta, GA, office and will support projects across Georgia and the Southeast region with opportunities to engage in projects throughout North America and across the globe. You will engage in a variety of project assignments – including many of the largest water infrastructure projects in the Southeast market – and serve our municipal, federal, industrial, and other clients.

Here’s what you’ll do

  • Lead the project management and technical delivery of projects through all phases of project planning, execution, and closeout consistent with established project delivery processes to meet the scope, schedule, budget, and other specified requirements stated in the contract.
  • Support Jacobs’ One Water initiative, specifically Water Resource Recovery Solutions for the Americas East Region.
  • Drive the integration of Digital Water Solutions and Climate Resilience across Jacobs’ Growth & Sales efforts.
  • Support the Americas Southeast Geography Water Market growth strategy in the wastewater practice.
  • Contribute to the development of a Water Market strategy that delivers leading-edge technology solutions for our clients while actively diversifying and expanding our client base.
  • Identify and participate in business development activities that result in the award of new contracts. This typically includes client relationship development, project-specific positioning activities, proposal preparation, and verbal presentations consistent with established business development processes.
  • Attract, develop, and retain top talent by actively coaching/mentoring, sponsoring, and training our people. This includes actively participating in global Communities of Practice to share technical knowledge and lessons learned across offices/regions.
