  • Assess order and trading activity based upon a variety of alerts generated by surveillance systems.
  • Working with colleagues, engage in fact finding to determine if matters warrant further investigation and escalation; document findings.
  • Issue formal requests for information to members and analyze their responses; interact with member firms and their counsel concerning those requests.
  • Assist with the preparation of memoranda that recommend dispositions of completed investigations and present those findings and recommendations to senior leadership during meetings of NYSE Regulation’s Disciplinary Action Committee.
  • Assist with the creation, development, and review of new surveillances and procedures.
  • Investigate regulatory issues arising from NYSE business and operations units.
  • Identify and mitigate situations that may adversely impact the integrity of NYSE markets.
  • Assist with the refinement of surveillance systems to ensure that alert output is meaningful and valid; recommend enhancements to those systems.
  • Investigate trading activity by querying, synthesizing, and analyzing large and complex data sets.
  • Other projects, as assigned.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Possess strong analytical skills, an understanding of equities and/or options exchanges and trading and the ability to work with and synthesize large data files.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Sound judgment.
  • Experience relevant to securities markets or compliance (preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work on and prioritize multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collegial, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Solid data analytics capabilities.
  • Ability to write and execute SQL queries against large data (preferred).

  • Solution Design & Recommendation: Evaluate existing systems and processes to identify gaps and propose technology-driven solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison between business units, clients, and technical teams, facilitating clear and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Quality Assurance & Testing Support: Support project testing by creating test plans, validating test cases against business requirements, completing QA testing, and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet expected outcomes.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Excellent customer service skills that build high levels of customer satisfaction for internal and external clients.

IntercontinentalExchange has an opportunity for a Full-Time Billing Analyst. The Billing Analyst will have the following responsibilities:

  • Perform billing activities on behalf of various business entities varying in nature from subscription-based, usage-based, and fixed fee based.
  • Complete billing implementations to address additions, modifications and terminations of service within accounts timely and accurately.
  • Review fee schedules within customer contracts to ensure billing is done accurately based on contractual terms.
  • Manually calculate revenue amounts, using Excel, to be invoiced to clients based on contractual terms.
  • Coordinate with General Ledger, Revenue Operations, and Commercial Operations teams to ensure revenue for assigned business entities is properly recorded and accrued.
  • Communicate with various business units, colleagues, and customers to resolve inquiries and/or discrepancies.
  • Consistently meet all required deadlines for timely recognition of revenue and issuance of invoices.
  • Monitor and maintain billing inboxes for customer inquiries and respond promptly and professionally.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or business-related field.
  • At least 2+ years of prior related work experience required.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required.
  • Candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Candidate must have strong organizational skills with extreme attention to detail.
