Job Purpose

The ICE Mortgage Technology DDA Web team is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer who has experience in the software testing, test automation using java-based test frameworks. This role will be responsible for building & reviewing complex test scenarios, writing & executing test cases (both manual and automated) and ensuring quality releases. It will be a huge plus if the candidate has experience in the US Mortgage domain.

The ideal candidate will be results-oriented, self-motivated and can thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role requires frequent interactions with project and product managers, developers, QA and other stakeholders, in order to ensure delivery of a world class compliance solution to our users.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in determining test methodology and test data setup
  • Actively participate in grooming, planning and daily standups
  • Develop test scenarios and test cases for capabilities of our products
  • Execute test scenarios/test cases during formal test periods for every release
  • Diagnose problems and report bugs and enhancements to development
  • Responsible for documenting clear and detailed defects including steps to reproduce actual and expected results
  • Interact effectively with product management and development
  • Build regression and acceptance test scenarios
  • Perform functional and end to end tests
  • Automate scenarios using a Java/Selenium/API automation frameworks and JUnit.
  • Involve in sprint end demos and retrospectives and work on continuous improvements
  • Executes, updates and maintains existing test scripts
  • Plans, builds and designs new automation to support new builds and release of the code
  • Produces clear and meaningful automated reports to provide test results for each execution
  • Works closely with developers, QA and other project team members to analyze test results, locate problems, identify root causes and develop solutions
  • Documents clear and detailed defect reports including steps to reproduce actual and expected results
  • Proactive in following up with developers on open defects
  • Familiar with using source control software, bug reporting software like Jira or equivalent
  • May require overtime or off-peak hours to meet commitments

Knowledge and Experience

  • Detailed experience working as a dedicated test engineer
  • Strong knowledge of any object orientated programming / Selenium / Restful APIs / SQL / Jenkins
  • Understanding of CI/CD process. Familiar with Jenkins tool
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the software development Lifecycle (SDLC) and manual testing
  • Ability to effectively communicate relevant project information with coworkers, peers, and management through written and verbal communication
  • Ability to communicate and effectively collaborate with internal departments and other outside parties in a professional manner
  • Ability to work with distributed teams across different time zones
  • Computer Science degree or equivalent from a fully accredited college or university
  • Prior experience working on a financial application preferably a Mortgage Loan Origination System or Underwriting Process is an advantage

The Performance Engineer position is responsible for ensuring the end-to-end infrastructure & application capacity and performance/scalabil​ity ​of our market leading enterprise cloud solution. The Performance Engineering Group (PEG) ensures that the infrastructure and all systems running on it are highly available, responsive, and scalable that meets end-user's expectations.

As part of a high performing team the PEG engineers are trusted with identifying areas for performance and scalability improvements as well as clearly identifying the ability for the current infrastructure/appli​cations/services​ to scale with new business requirements. Identifying the needs for additional compute and storage capacity growth with cloud operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Performance Engineering team study capacity and performance monitoring of entire application/infrastructure stack​.
  • Develop, implement performance plans, procedures, reports based on detail performance analysis.
  • Load and stress analysis of end-to-end applications performance with respect to production infrastructure and capacity planning.
  • Escalate trending and projection data, together with recommendations for changes to the infrastructure.
  • Develop internal applications/tools, dashboards, and optimize performance KPIs.
  • Analyze performance results to identify bottlenecks, optimizations and highlight performance opportunities for improvements.
  • Construct complex workloads and data shapes based on real customer experience, to expose potential performance bottlenecks.
  • Work closely with the cross functional teams to ensure adequate/maximum performance coverage/effectiveness.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Experience / Knowledge in any of these scripting & programming languages Perl, Python, Tcl, JavaScript, Java, C#
  • Basic knowledge of database fundamentals (MS SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB)
  • Outstanding attention to details and effective communication skills

Preferred

  • Knowledge of performance engineering, load, stress analysis.
  • Experience with the following:
    • Hands on experience in any of these programing languages Java, C#
    • Hands on experience in debugging, troubleshooting, monitoring tools with AppDynamics, Dynatrace, NewRelic, SignalFx or similar.
  • Hands on experience with any of these load applications/tools JMeter, LoadRunner, Webload or similar.
  • Troubleshooting and performance tuning experience with AWS components like Dynamo, Kinesis, Lambda, others.
