Job Description:

This role requires regular onsite presence to fulfil essential job responsibilities.

  • Performs assigned product manufacturing and assembly tasks in the production process, ensuring that the finished products match the industry standards and customer specifications. Also supports developing, building and testing new products and prototypes, or processes for quality and functionality.
  • Operates equipment either from a remote operations center or internal to factory. Collects and evaluates operating data to conduct online equipment adjustment and ensure process optimization.
  • Maintains overall production efficiency of assigned tools/ modules, and optimizes production efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings as needed. Sets up and operates production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Supports activities related to the installation, qualification, maintenance, and training of new or reused production equipment. Drives maximum utilization of equipment and use of automated systems to maximize quality of output.
  • Works with Manufacturing Operations Manager and peers to produce product that meets output requirements and escalates appropriately to management team when shift output schedules are at risk.
  • Supports incorporating process improvements, and troubleshooting nonstandard events in the production line, and reviewing technological health and stability. Ensures availability of required raw materials for production. Inspects raw materials and final products, performing quality control evaluations to confirm items meet established standards.
  • Conducts quality checks on the functionality of parts and components. Drives quality and cost improvements through area in conjunction with engineering. Maintains production logs and other required documentation as indicated by Standard Operating Procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate machinery and equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Monitor production processes and perform routine inspections to ensure product quality.
  • Assist in material handling, including loading/unloading raw materials and finished goods.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum SPM or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of production machinery.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work in shifts and overtime as required.
  • This is a 1-year contract.

Industrial engineers develop metrics to measure equipment and factory capacity and output and to identify equipment and process flow bottlenecks. Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.


As an industrial engineer, the primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs a key role in the integration of the new products, module run rate, and capacity analysis.
  • Engages with stakeholders to ensure capacity requirements are correctly mapped according to the product roadmap, pace loading, and build plans.
  • Leads inter-disciplinary teams towards the removal of roadblocks to achieve key milestones.
  • Coordinates/performs What If analysis (WIF) capacity assessments to identify capacity risks.
  • Validates the product performance as part of the factory certification process.
  • Carry out in-depth studies of new equipment mechanisms to fully understand the tool capability and identify continuous improvement opportunities
  • Leads equipment metric models design, validation method development, and process change ratification
  • Sustains Model Of Record (MOR) to ensure actual match with model, able to deep dive into data analysis, drive productivity improvement roadmap
  • Provide solutions to a wide range of identified problems, including virtual factory capacity and resource optimization to meet schedules and cost targets.
Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position:

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, engineering fields, statistics, or business-related fields.

Preferred experience in the following:

  • Structured Problem Solving, A3, PDCA cycles. Data processing, analysis, and visualization, including Excel, JMP, SQL Pathfinder, and Power BI.
  • Reporting and Data Monitoring.
  • Driven capacity and efficiency cost improvement projects.
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively independently with minimal direction, and as part of a larger team


Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment. Familiar with industrial engineering works, factory physics, and flow.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in manufacturing capacity management in a dynamic environment.

  • Owns factory support equipment like command center workstations, factory laptops, manufacturing small form factor devices or compute elements (e.g. NUCs) and associated equipment.

  • Responsible for defining Factory daily loading plan including key modules conversion strategies and prioritizing meetingweekly/monthly/quarterlydelivery schedule goal with the best Cycle Time and Utilization.

  • Escalate and follow-up between external key stakeholders and Shift operations if encountering any issue that potentially impacts delivery to ensure flawless executions.

  • Lead functional working groups or participate in task force that supports the internal Factory loading plan to respond any activities impacting Product Health Indicator (PHI)/Model of Record (MOR)/capacity gaps.

  • Interface with local start-up team and Virtual Factory (VF) key partners to drive improvement projects that directly impact Manufacturing operations, delivery system and process.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelors degree, technical and engineering major, Industrial Systems Engineering or Industrial Engineering or Industrial Management are preferred, with at least 2 years of working experience.

  • Having working experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment is a plus.

  • Be strong in both verbal and written communication skills in English and stakeholder management skills.

  • Good in influencing and being passionate in working with people and resolving issues through constructive confrontation.

  • Knowledgeable in structural problem solving methods, data driven mindset.
