  • This role requires regular onsite presence to fulfill essential job responsibilities.
  • Plans, implements, and maintains the infrastructure and equipment of buildings and facilities and determines facility and equipment specifications.
  • Performs analysis of operational processes, resource allocation, energy use, and safety processes, recommends and implements improvements, and provides test and commissioning support.
  • Gathers and analyzes data, blueprints, and reports and plays a key role in analyzing project costs and preparing budgets for accurate project cost estimates.
  • Designs and oversees the implementation of facility expansion, layout, system capacity management and forecasting, and quality controls to ensure smooth operation and implementation of initiatives.
  • Evaluates operational systems and facility infrastructure to ascertain and improve operational efficiencies, develops processing plans, and optimizes resource allocation.
  • Plans and coordinates infrastructure and equipment maintenance schedules
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering or other equivalent Engineering degree from an accredited university.
  • 5 years of Experience inMechanical/ElectricalEngineering with experience in large-scale manufacturing/ mechanical engineering facility services support, such as facilities HVAC,exhaust/pumps/piping/valves,PCS, chillers and compressor systems, Chilled/Process cooling water plant, chemical engineering principles, pumps, valves, flow calculations and chemical analytical testing or managing electrical distribution.
  • 5 years of experience identifying, analyzing and solving immediate issues with technical equipment.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills in a business setting.
  • Ability to function effectively in a team environment and influence both technical and management personnel to resolve issues in a cost-efficient way.

In this position, you will be the Electrical Engineer (Power) that provides projects and sustaining electrical engineering support at our facilities.

  • Act as one of Intel's Electrical System Owner of the site's distribution system. Conducts analysis, audits of electrical systems and leads complex electrical engineering projects and initiatives, including working cross-functionally with design teams, construction, field operations, vendors, and research and development teams.
  • Develops, reviews, and approves electrical specifications and maintenance procedures related to power supply units and their associated battery backup systems.
  • Ensures compliance with quality and reliability KPIs associated with assigned systems and equipment.
  • Monitors trends in equipment utilization, system capacity management, forecasting, and performance.
  • Establishes virtual sensors to flag adverse trends and creates work plans to analyze or correct adverse trends.
  • Reports on equipment and system health metrics and builds the manage, repair, and maintenance work order schedule.
  • Reviews equipment test reports and condition-based or breakdown maintenance and conducts life extension evaluation to determine the remaining life of assets.
  • Develops long-term end-of-life replacement project work scope and schedules and creates change point management.
  • Monitors project work impacting equipment or systems and manages critical spare parts inventory associated with assigned systems and equipment.
  • Partners with electrical utility providers in driving quality of supply to factories and models the electrical power distribution system, tracks changes, troubleshoots electrical system problems, conducts breaker coordination and arc flash studies, and tracks electrical load and capacity.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.
  • Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The candidate must possess a Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering with more than 3 years of experience or related field.
  • Relevant experience in operating and maintaining an industrial electrical system.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively as an individual with minimal direction and as part of a larger team.
  • Proven ability to perform work effectively and is seen as a change agent to facilitate and manage a changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate tactical concepts across a wide range of employees; engineering peers to operational technicians to management.
  • Must have excellent problem-solving skills and demonstrate application of structured problem-solving methods and tools.
  • Experience in managing beyond electrical systems, such as control systems and fire protection systems, will be an added advantage.
