  • Develops assembly processes and/or equipment and applies novel concepts for innovative solutions to enable Intel's roadmap of future assembly packaging platform technologies.
  • Optimizes and improves the efficiency of manufacturing of packages, developing processes to meet quality, reliability, cost, yield, productivity and manufacturability requirements.
  • Develops process and equipment specifications applying principles for design of experiments and data analysis, and documents improvements through white papers.
  • Develops and maintains equipment to evaluate silicon and package technologies under simulated field use conditions, such as heat, humidity, temperature cycle, and dynamic forces.
  • Ensures manufacturability of physical layout of package design and oversees the cycle of manufactured package processes, procedures and flows.
  • Establishes material specifications for contract assemblers and raw material vendors and interfaces with supplier quality and procurement teams to ensure material quality and vendor performance requirements are met through strict adherence to process specifications and existing product qualification methods.
  • Develops new techniques and acceleration methods, tools, and quality screens to ensure the early identification of potential problems with packaging quality and reliability.
  • Sets reliability requirements to meet customer needs and influences design, material selection and process development to meet those needs, based on fundamental understanding of failure mechanisms.
  • Leads efforts towards innovating, problem solving, developing, and continuously improving equipment and processes using experimental design and statistical methods.
  • Provides consultation concerning packaging problems and improvements in the packaging process, and responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur.
  • Delivers standardization in product qualification, manufacturing quality systems, and methods and continuously engages with packaging technology development and partner engineering groups on process/technology maturity for products towards key risk areas in meeting product milestones.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering/MaterialEngineering/ElectricalEngineering/Physics related field.
  • Minimum 2 year+ of experience in fundamental science and engineering concepts in development to create novel solutions, including strong knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE) principles. Experience in analytics and design tools in packaging industry like - AutoCAD, Solidworks, etc)
  • Experience working with Engineering drawing and tolerancing analysis, design rules.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong mechanical design software experience (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc)
  • Portfolio of self-completed concept to fabrication project examples Assembly equipment, process, media, and/or collateral experience.
  • Technical innovation and deliver results for complex, time critical technical projects.
  • Understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes and technology with technical and analytical skills.

Responsibilities/Expectations:

  • Plan/manage NPI activities as a product owner that are directly tied to the development, implementation or upgrade of technology or products for external customers. This role will require cross functional departments and organizations engagement and be the focal point of contact for NPI builds execution to ensure successful new product startup from engineering to High volume manufacturing (HVM).
  • Identify tasks, determine dependencies, communicate expectations to team members, obtain task effort and duration estimates, and create/track the project schedule. Constantly track and publish progress of NPI in meeting Performance Against Schedule and meeting CSIs of every key milestone of Recipe Chek-Out, engineering sample, quality sample, Factory Cert and Manufacturing Validation.
  • Ensure system setup, process flow, material readiness, and securing capacity for NPI activities/data collection.
  • Understanding product challenges and working with technical experts across various groups to provide solutions to a wide range of problems. Drive Design For Manufacturing (DFM) while working on NPI deliverables. Proactively seek for opportunity and work on improvement actions to improve NPI program result delivery and effectiveness.
  • Lead investigation of issue hindering progress of NPI deliverable completion until isolating to root cause area with proper alignment of risk mitigation actions, then hand over to the rightful area owners for full resolution. Follow up to ensure problem solved and NPI progressing to meet sample volume delivery ahead of commit with good quality.
  • Be able to document all readiness, deliverables, process flow, product build routing, BOM, etc. and own white paper for factory cert qualification
Qualifications:
  • Candidate should possess a minimum Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical field with at least 3 years of work experience.
  • Knowledge in Assembly or Test process, TD transfer methodology, and statistical data analysis is required
  • A team player with good English verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and equipped with project management and stakeholders management skills
  • A Project Management Professional certification is a plus

  • Conducts tests and measurements of their operations to ensure control over critical dimensions and defectivity of the process line.
  • Recommends and implements modifications for operating the equipment in order to improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques and optimizing production output for existing products, to meet safety, quality and cost indicator goals.
  • Grows insitu manufacturing capacity to high volumes to demonstrate the technology capability while simultaneously transferring the technology to counterparts in manufacturing sites across the globe.
  • Owns execution of maintenance and repair activities for equipment and relevant module of components. Initiates and owns the continuous improvement of equipment and process for key performance indicators (e.g., safety, quality, cost, productivity, defects, and yield) and works with equipment suppliers as required.
  • Owns process development line items aligned to high volume process nodes.
  • Participates in the transfer of technology to other sites through training and audit of installation and qualification outcomes to ensure matched processing across sites.
  • Owns development and optimization of excursion prevention systems for the equipment and process.
  • Owns detection of discrepant material or activities of the equipment and process.
  • During factory ramps, owns equipment install/conversion and qualification to ensure tools are installed safely and on schedule, while meeting all quality/matching criteria (from design through Safety Level 1 and Safety Level Supplier milestones, Intel qual and manufacturing readiness processes).
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Engineering (Preferable MechanicalElectrical/Electronics/ComputerEngineering).

  • This position will be require hardware and software skill.

  • Good analytical skill and prefer hands on to equipment.

  • Good knowledge in mechanical design and electrical circuitry is an added advantage.

  • Possess statistical data analysis and data system automation skills such as JMP, SQL pathfinder.

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with peers, engineering and customers.

  • Candidate must be flexible and capable of handling multi-task operations.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and adjust to rapidly changing priorities.

  • Must be a self-starter capable of managing own activities as well as supporting team activities.

  • Perform detail investigation and problem-solving data analysis to ensure equipment / tool is up and ready to support production
  • Align to product roadmap and build plan requirement, proactively work on collaterals ordering and tool fungibility qualification across links to support capacity ramp.
  • Able to lead and provide coaching and training to sustaining and manufacturing workforce to improve their technical competency
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and lead a small team to support factory tool and equipment install to meet critical schedule.
  • Develop Test collaterals monitoring and dashboard for early signal monitoring
Qualifications:
