Job Summary (Primary Function)

The Senior Manager/Associate Medical Director, Dermatology – US Medical Affairs, Inflammation and Autoimmunity will support the development and execution of U.S. Medical Affairs strategy and tactics for assigned disease area (ex atopic dermatitis, hidradenitis suppurativa, vitiligo). The individual will be responsible for providing medical leadership and strategic execution across initiatives such as medical education, external expert engagement, and data dissemination while providing medical support to internal stakeholders. This position will report to the Director/Sr Medical Director, USMA – IAI.

We welcome applicants from diverse clinical and scientific backgrounds including M.D., Pharm.D., Ph.D., Nurse Practitioner, and Physician Assistant professionals who bring dermatology expertise or industry-relevant Medical Affairs experience to engage in scientific exchange.

Essential Functions of the Role

Strategic & Scientific Leadership

Support the Medical Director in developing and operationalizing the U.S. Medical Affairs plan aligned with brand and organizational goals

Contribute to disease and product strategy by integrating insights from medical experts, MSLs, clinical development, and commercial functions.

Lead select strategic initiatives and represent Medical Affairs in cross-functional team activities/initiatives.

Deliver clear and balanced scientific interpretation of clinical and real-world data to both internal and external audiences

Build and maintain trust-based relationships with external experts

Represent Medical Affairs at scientific congresses and advisory board meetings

Collaborate with Clinical Development, Biostatistics, and Health Economics and Observational Research on post-approval and real-world data generation

Serve as subject matter expert for commercial and market access advisory board meetings, and as needed for promotional material review via the Medical-Legal-Regulatory Committee

Provide medical training support for MSL and internal stakeholders

Contribute to sales training, speaker bureau content development, and field team enablement

Qualifications and Preferred Experience

Required Education & Credentials (One of the following):

M.D. or international equivalent

Pharm.D., Ph.D. in life sciences or related discipline

Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with advanced clinical training and experience in dermatology

Professional Experience

2 years of industry experience in Medical Affairs preferred

Demonstrated experience in evidence generation or medical communications

Familiarity with pre-launch and launch Medical Affairs planning desirable

Experience with inflammatory skin diseases (ex. AD, HS, vitiligo) preferred

Skills & Core Competencies

Ability to communicate complex medical/scientific concepts effectively across audiences

Strong understanding of clinical data analysis, translational medicine, and real-world evidence

  • Local Oncology market knowledge.
  • Customer centric selling approach.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record, or the ability to obtain one if required for the role.
  • Demonstrate ability to work effectively in matrix teams.
  • Demonstrate ability to gain consistent access and develop strong professional relationships with health care providers in community and academic settings.
  • History of successful sales performance documented in annual reviews and sales reports. Demonstrate strong business analytics and account management skills.
  • Minimum of relevant experience in the Hematology/Oncology market, with a preference for experience in hematology.
  • Minimum of several years of successful biotech/pharmaceutical sales experience, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • The ability to travel is required using various modes of transportation (car, air, train, etc.). The level and frequency of travel, including overnights, will depend on the specific territory and/or business purpose or need.   • Conduct forecast accuracy analysis for all products and partners supplied by the International Supply Chain team, investigate root causes of variability with the affected markets, propose action plans to improve key performance indicators (KPIs) and report periodically these metrics.
  • Support team members for selected contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs) or partners in the follow-up of new product launches and participation in partners meetings.
  • Review adherence of selected alliance customers to the established contractual terms such as respect of lead-times and volumes.
  • Support the International Supply Chain team in Demand Planning activities such as maintenance and review of master data, and to ensure accurate forecast is always maintained in the IBP system.
  • Participate and provide inputs to selected intra or inter-departments projects such as improvement of Demand Planning Processes and forecast updates from the partners, attendance and preparation for S&OP meetings.
  • Support other general and periodic activities of the department such as review of business contingency plans (BCP) or review/update of department procedures (SOPs) to adapt to evolving activities.
  • Provide general support to the supply chain operations in Europe and RELAM and APAC regions.
  • Contribute positively to a strong culture of business integrity and ethics.
  • Act within compliance and legal requirements as well as within company guidelines.

  • Master or Bachelor’s degree in business school, supply chain, or equivalent.
  • English fluency written and spoken (the company language).
  • Basic understanding and strong interest in supply chain management.

Qualifications

  • Degree in scientific/life-sciences field. Pharm.D. or Ph.D. preferred.

Qualifications:

·Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred; life sciences or related field preferred.

·Advanced clinical degree such as PharmD, PA, or NP is a plus.

·3+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or specialty sales experience; experience in immunology, rare disease, or specialty biologics strongly preferred.

·Strong clinical acumen with the ability to discuss complex scientific information.

·Proven success in a complex selling environment and ability to navigate matrixed organizations.

·Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

·Willingness to travel within the territory as needed.
