The Sr Security Specialist designs, carries out and monitors security interests for management initiatives and projects. Leads the planning, development and administration of security procedures and training programs for classified or proprietary materials, products, services, documents, and equipment. Assures that training and internal practices, procedures, and policies comply with National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA)/Department of Energy (DOE) orders and any other applicable policies pertaining to security. Conducts audits, surveys, special studies, and prepares security plans and procedures Interacts with NNSA, DOE Headquarters and other security leadership.

As an Advanced Cyber Security Architect here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing advanced cybersecurity solutions to protect our critical assets. Your expertise will contribute to the secure and resilient future of our organization.You will report directly to our Cyber Security Manager and you'll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a hybrid work schedule.
• Support secure lifecycle process activities for SaaS and On-Prem Offerings, including security requirements, threat modeling, risk assessment, analysis of findings from penetration tests, and tools
• Partner with engineering teams to drive the security by design and alignment to security policies & standards.
• Be a coach to Security Advocates to grow their product security skills
• Influence Product Management to drive down cyber security risk in a measurable way
• Evaluate the Secure Development Life Cycle (SDLC) activities to keep them lean in order to build solid working relationships between development and product security teams
• Perform threat modeling, review vulnerability assessment and penetration testing results to prioritize security work in development team backlog
• 5+ years of experience in cyber security
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
• Knowledge of secure software development lifecycle
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Understanding of operational technology, SCADA systems, distributed control system and process automation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft threat modeling tool, and reviewing vulnerability assessment
• Product architecture and development background
• Software engineering or development experience
• Knowledge of penetration testing
• Familiarity of security regulations and standards
• Certifications in security such as CSSLP, (Azure/AWS) Certified Security Architect
• Understanding of security by design principles and architecture level security concepts
• Up to date knowledge of current and emerging security threats and techniques for exploiting security vulnerabilities
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate diverse groups, help negotiate priorities, and resolve conflicts
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment.

The annual base salary range for this position is $75,000.00/yr - $105,500.00/yr. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. •Use cyber threat tools to identify, analyze, and characterize cyber threat activity

•3+ years’ experience with cyber security and/or IT security field. This can be a combination of educational or professional experience.
•1+ years supporting cyber threat intelligence, security architecture, vulnerability management, or incident response processes or procedures.
•Must graduate after December 2025.
•Must continue enrollment degree program upon completion of internship.
•Drive to learn new things about technical cybersecurity topics
•Advanced knowledge of cyber threat intelligence
•Experience with cyber security automation technologies
•Demonstrated experience in intelligence analysis, APT activity, and cyber TTPs
