Description:

Join a team that maintains and repairs manufacturing equipment. You will work under general supervision and alongside some of the world's most talented production facility operators and machinists. You will use your maintenance technician expertise to conduct preventative maintenance, scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment repair.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performs installation, fabrication and repair of electronic, electrical, and pneumatic equipment and controls for all manufacturing operations.
  • Maintains thorough knowledge and understanding of current wiring codes and seeks advice of supervisor concerning other codes and specifications pertaining to any work performed.
  • Maintains/performs calibrations of process critical measuring devices/equipment.
  • Performs preventative maintenance of electronics and automation equipment.
  • Troubleshoots problems using plant programmable controllers and does some basic programming as directed. Also installs controllers and troubleshoots them, including I/O, power supplies, programming panels, etc.
  • Able to troubleshoot PLC ladder logic.
  • Able to assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues and how it relates to electrical components.
  • Able to perform basic mechanical repairs.
  • Be completely familiar with reading and drawing of schematics and wiring diagrams as they relate to electronic and electrical equipment and buildings and develops same for all existing equipment and facilities for which not already provided or for any alterations.
  • Ability to furnish full lists of materials and components required for fabrications or repairs, and diagrams and schematics wherever applicable.
  • Interprets blueprints, drawings and specifications for equipment and machinery fabrication, installation or repair.
  • As required, lay out and install conduit as needed, completed according to code and trade specifications.

Performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor for plant and personal safety, housekeeping, equipment and machinery repair or replacement, handling of supplies and inventory, and care of company property.

As an Advanced Project Engineer III at the Charleston Site you will be responsible for supporting Capital Projects for the glove and sleeve sites. You will use your knowledge and expertise in Capital program planning / execution and construction management to support the procurement and development of our glove and sleeve facilities, infrastructure and hardware including but not limited to production equipment and buildings, test hardware, and fabrication and test equipment.

As a Sr Program Controls Specialist here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the program control and coordination functions within our organization. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of complex programs and projects, as well as providing strategic leadership and guidance to your team of program controls professionals.

The successful candidate will be assigned tomulti-phased projects and will be required to provide work direction andmentoring to other more junior project control specialists. Work is usuallyoffice based but depending on individual project requirements the position mayrequire travel to and / or work in client facilities or remote constructionlocations.You will report directly to our Program Controls Manager, and you'll work out of our Houston, TX location on a hybrid work schedule.In this role, you will have a significant impact on the successful execution of programs and projects, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness throughout the process.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work in a manner that ensures not only your personal safety but also the safety of fellow employees by following all company health, safety, and code of conduct policies.
  • Drive customer satisfaction. Ensure that project schedules comply with contract requirements and meet industry quality standards.
  • Work closely with account management, project management, engineering, and construction personnel to clearly define appropriately-detailed performance measurement and scheduling criteria by project execution phase.
  • Develop, analyze, and maintain resource- and cost-loaded project schedules within a networked scheduling environment.
  • Use templates and standardized guidelines to ensure project Work Breakdown Structure and activity sets support consistency across projects, programs, and geographical regions within the Strategic Business Unit. This includes the alignment of schedule with the business unit’s financial ERP and Honeywell’s PMIS.
  • Align schedule/cost baseline management with change order management processes.
  • Lead regular internal schedule, cost, and resource status update meetings with Honeywell project teams.
  • Identify ITD and forecasted baseline variances. Provide root cause analysis & recommendations to project managers on risk mitigation & opportunities for acceleration/savings.
  • Support Project Managers in developing reports and participate in customer meetings that determine project execution.
    Create EVM reports for stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Interface with project Finance to align project budgets, cash flow projections, and cost forecasts.
  • Ensure alignment between Schedule WBS and Financial Cost Breakdown Structure.
  • Perform cost analyses to determine the validity of claimed cost and schedule impacts.
  • Work with ProjectControls

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum 8 years relevant Project Controls experience (engineering, software development, construction, and procurement).
  • Expert scheduling experience using Primavera P6 is integral to the position (preferably in EPC Environment).
  • Strong skillsets utilizing Microsoft Excel and Project are required.

WE VALUE

  • The ability to interpret relationships between cost, schedule, and resource requirements and how they relate to stated business objectives.
  • Experience in presenting schedule data to project teams and upper management, both internally and externally.
    Certifications from PMI, AACE, or similar (e.g. PMP).
  • Travel less than 25%.
  • Working knowledge and skills of the MS Office Word and PowerPoint.
  • Team player with strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
