Description:

YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE:

  • Managing a team of 6-10 project engineers including work assignments, monitoring team member performance, writing and delivering performance reviews, mentoring team members, and managing career development
  • Supporting the maturation of a growing organization by leading the development of standardized processes and templates
  • Collaborating with program management, technical personnel, functional leadership and support organizations to drive the successful delivery of highly specialized systems
  • Ensuring the application of project engineering best practices for a wide variety of projects from R&D to Manufacturing
  • Mentoring the project engineering team to manage cost, schedule, and technical scope for multi-disciplinary engineering teams on complex, high-value components and systems.
  • Understanding the complex interactions between the business and technical requirements of a project so that you can provide guidance to the execution team and recommendations to the program manager when conflicts arise
  • Interacting with internal and external customers to identify future business opportunities

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics
  • Minimum 8+ years of technical project leadership experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to contractual requirements. Applicants must also be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of security processing
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

WE VALUE:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Systems Engineering, Software Engineer, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in engineering, research & development, manufacturing, or a related field
  • 5+ year of supervisor or people management experience
  • Mechanical system and cryogenics expertise
  • Ability to mentor others on earned value management and lifecycle gated milestone development
  • Expertise developing and managing project plans using standard tools (e.g. Microsoft Project, Jira)
  • Experience bringing designs from prototype to production
  • Excellent ability to evaluate and understand business objectives and interact effectively with internal external customer leadership
  • Lean, Black Belt, and PMP Certifications
  • Proactive and resourceful self-starters with ability to multi-task

The annual base salary range for this position is $136,000-$170,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
