This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days work from home model, with your flexibility to work in the office more frequently when required.
Key responsibilities:
In this role you will lead a team of four Production Planners and support the Site Team & Materials Management Planning to perform the monthly Production Planning process cycle for the Southend site.
Close involvement in product lifecycle events and transitions to ensure the network production strategy delivers on the product portfolio vitality goals. Partner with the supply and materials planning leaders to create and execute the Southend site Production plans. Attend monthly SIOP Supply Review meetings at the site level to approve the site production plans and to present these and the associated risks and mitigating plans to the Functional & Business leadership in the Supply Review Meetings.
Key skills and qualifications:
Prior experience in a Factory Planning environment
People management or supervisory skills within production, demand or supply planning
A higher-level education, such as a degree, HND or HNC in a related operations management or supply chain management subject
SAP, or RapidResponse or similar system exposure
A Six Sigma certification
Solid experience in Supply Planning, and at least one of the following: Operations Planning / Scheduling, Production Planning, Materials Management

Monthly Planning Process:Conduct the monthly Production Planning process cycle which includes optimising capacity plans and Master Production Schedules (MPS) to maximise labor and machine resource efficiency while adhering to cost control, productivity, and working capital objectives.
Work closely with supply and materials planning leaders to develop and execute production plans, while attending monthly Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) Supply Review meetings to present site/network production plans, their associated risks, and corresponding mitigation strategies to leadership.
Capacity Management:Actively review and adjust for changes in Net Demand Requirements and Supply Plans, addressing capacity constraints through the creation of Rough Cut Capacity Plans. Ensure that the Constrained Master Production Schedule reflects realistic production capabilities.
Performance Metrics Oversight:Own and monitor key performance indicators for supply, including On Time to First Promise, Past Due Orders, Site Inventory levels, Master Production Schedule Load, Schedule Adherence, and UnconfirmedSales Orders, ensuring relevant parameters are maintained accurately.
Key skills and qualifications:
Prior experience in a Factory planning environment
A higher-level education, such as a degree, HND or HNC in a related operations management or supply chain management subject and a Six Sigma certification
SAP, or RapidResponse or similar system exposure
Solid experience in supply planning, and/or any of the following Operations Planning / Scheduling, Production Planning, Materials Management or other Sales Inventory & Operations Planning related functional area
Sales & Operation Planning knowledge
Proven experience in evolving processes and improving the planning function and influencing those around them
