Description:

Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop robust commodity strategies for the Facilities and GRE Category Strategy Team and with consideration to quality, cost, speed and service requirements, market conditions, risks and exposures, competitive landscape, and projected changes over the strategic planning horizon; global industry trends, suppliers’ capabilities, and overall supply chain expertise;
  • Partner with Buying Operations Team and SBG cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment and support of category strategy creation and execution. Facilitate engagement across all SBG’s to drive a singular approach to supplier management in assigned commodity space;
  • Consolidate fragmented global spend, reduce the use of non-strategic suppliers, and move the procurement activities upstream in the lifecycle of a solution in order to bring greater value to Honeywell;
  • Execute the annual operating plan through year-over-year improvements in productivity, working capital, quality, delivery and supply continuity;
  • Negotiate and execute supply agreements with strategic suppliers capable of providing solutions that meet established business requirements and follow the global commodity strategies while maximizing benefit to Honeywell.
YOU MUST HAVE
  • 7+ years of relevant strategic sourcing experience, to include at minimum, 4 years in an indirect procurement function at a multinational corporation with global contracts;
  • In-depth experience in best-in-class procurement practices (category management, benchmarking, should-cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting, etc.);
  • BS/BA Degree;
  • Advanced English
  • Strong negotiator with proven experience in setting negotiation strategies and conducting negotiations.
