As a
Senior IT Analyst, Data/SAP BI, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and managing data to facilitate our business intelligence initiatives. Your expertise in data thoughtfulness and SAP BI tools will be instrumental in providing valuable insights and driving data-driven decision-making. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop innovative solutions. Your strong technical skills and attention to detail will contribute to the success of our data management and reporting efforts.

You will report directly to our IT Director, and you’ll work out of our Morris Plains, NJ location on a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact the organization by analyzing and managing data to facilitate business intelligence initiatives, providing valuable insights for data-driven decision-making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze and manage data to facilitate business intelligence initiatives
  • Develop and maintain data models, reports, and dashboards using SAP BI tools
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide data-driven insights.
  • Enterprise data models and data governance
  • Identify and implement data quality improvements and data governance processes
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in data thoughtfulness and business intelligence.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 5+ years of experience in data thoughtfulness and business intelligence
  • 5+ years of experience in information architecture or minimum 5-7 years’ experience as data analyst, business intelligence analyst, or equivalent roles
  • Proficiency in SAP BI tools (e.g., SAP BusinessObjects, SAP BW)
  • Strong knowledge of data thoughtfulness techniques and methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Experience in data modeling and data visualization
  • Strong experience in SQL, Tableau or Power BI
  • Expert in Data warehouse, data lakes, data marts, and ETL
  • Knowledge of SAP HANA
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Attention to detail and a focus on quality.
  • Knowledge about various architectures, patterns and protocols such as SSID, SSIS, ODBC, JDBC, unified data management architecture (UDM), event-driven architecture, real-time data flows, non-relational repositories, data virtualization, cloud enablement.
  • Hands-on experience with implementing data and analytics management programs
  • Strong experience of metamodels, taxonomies, ontologies, and challenges of applying structured techniques (data modeling) to less-structured sources
