Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the design/engineering for electronic security requirements in terms of scope, schedule, and budget
  • Provide technical direction in the field of Electronic Security to all relevant stakeholders
  • Design leadership of all Electronic Security requirements for the wider SMW programme of works
  • Translation of electronic security customer requirements into clear design and scope definition
  • Application and compliance related to all relevant standards
  • Review of all relevant incoming electronic security project documentation
  • Prepare work packages for local and remote electronic security team members
  • Ownership of design /engineering submittals and all relevant documentation to various stakeholders
  • Utilize offshore and remote design / engineering resources efficiently to minimise costs and reduce the local requirements of performing repetitive and non-value adding tasks
  • Assist the supply chain as necessary with product and services specifications and negotiations
  • Manage effective communications with all project stakeholders
  • Drive compliance to standardisation, process improvement and adoption and utilisation of tools and initiatives
  • Assessment of customer sites for design, engineering, installation, and commissioning requirements
  • Plan and execute the day-to-day design / engineering electronic security activities

Key Experience & Capabilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (e.g., electrical, electronic, controls, mechatronic, computer science). Alternatively relevant trade qualifications with significant experience.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in Electronic Security projects including extensive design knowledge
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage a team, work co-operatively and provide technical direction in a team environment
  • Proven track record in a project design/engineering capacity which includes delivery of large and complex technology-based projects
  • Electronic Security in a rail environment is well regarded, but not essential
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Well versed in a compliance driven environment
  • A strong commitment to safety and safe working environment
  • Capacity to deliver against multiple objectives
  • Ability to identify technical solutions to customer needs
  • Financial and project management acumen

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a high level of technical expertise/ takeownership of themaintenance of existing complex ICT infrastructure system installations at client site
  • Take responsibility for the preventative maintenance of existing systems (Inc. patch management, system updates), carry out audits and review of existing infrastructure and take responsibility for all breakdowns/repairs
  • Develop site-specific documentation including configuration, engineering, O&M, testing and commissioning manuals and procedures
  • Ensure high availability and performance of Honeywell maintained IT services by diagnosing complex problems, tuning to improve performance, maintaining, and supporting the underlying infrastructure, monitoring of network and system intrusions
  • Contribute to the development of project plans, schedules, and design/configuration documentation

Key Experience & Capabilities:

  • Must be an Australian citizen to be eligible for NV1 clearance.
  • Technical Diploma and/or Tertiary Education in Information Technology/Systems or Computer Science
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working within the IT industry as a systems, network, or service desk administrator
  • Certification and/or experience in relevant ICT industry technologies such as CCNP (Cisco), MCSE (Microsoft), VCDP (VMware), CA (Citrix) or similar
  • Experienced with networking, servers, storage, and enterprise applications
  • Certification and/or experience in relevant Cybersecurity methodologies such as CompTIA+, CISSP, CISM or similar
