As an RF Hardware Engineer at Google, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of our telecommunication products. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and assembling radios, antennas, and other communication devices. Your primary goal will be to ensure that Google’s products are compliant with current and upcoming regulatory standards while also striving to keep our signals reliable and secure. In this role, you should be a team-player who can collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to develop innovative hardware solutions. You will be expected to deliver high-quality products efficiently with an eye for detail. Moreover, you will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement of existing and new hardware prototypes. You should have a good understanding of radio frequency propagation and antenna principles, as well as experience using common RF hardware such as receivers, transmitters, and amplifiers. You must also be familiar with safety protocols and regulations. Candidates should hold an electrical engineering degree and be comfortable working with engineering software such as MATLAB and/or Simulink. Previous experience with wireless communications devices is a plus. The ability to think creatively and solve complex problems will be critical to succeed in this role.
