As a Program Manager for Environmental Health & Safety in the Technology industry, your primary role is to protect the safety and well-being of personnel, equipment, products and processes within the organization. You will be the expert who ensures regulatory compliance for hazardous chemicals and waste disposal. Every company in the technology industry faces many unique challenges when it comes to environmental health and safety. As the Program Manager, you must adapt to these challenges and balance the company's needs with their commitment to preserving the environment and the health of their people. Your duties will revolve around the implementation, maintenance, and constant improvement of the organization's environmental health and safety policies, both to meet and exceed industry standards and certification requirements. You will train staff on safety procedures, inspect equipment, and develop emergency preparedness plans. You will also coordinate with outside vendors and regulatory agencies to arrange regular safety assessments and testing, and present your findings to management for review and approval. You will be in charge of researching, preparing and submitting required documentation to state and federal bureaucracies. To succeed in this position, you must be very knowledgeable about all relevant laws and regulations, be analytical with data, comfortable with technology, have excellent communication skills, and be meticulous and organized in tracking and monitoring. Your success in this role on Expoint requires you to be highly motivated, results-oriented and dedicated to achieving the highest standards of safety and environmental sustainability.
