You will own deployment, monitoring and management of typical networking solutions – from switching, routing and firewall services to IP networking, multicast routing and telecoms. You will configure and troubleshoot common layer 2/layer 3 networking protocols and solve hardware-specific issues. Furthermore, you will own network fault and performance measurement and management, as well as provide automation for simplification of the routine network operations. This J.D. will also provide technical leadership to the team. As part of the Google’s Network Operations Team, you will design long-term solutions for scalability, performance and stability of the network and take account of operational and customer requirements. You are expected to keep up with the ever-evolving networking requirements and have an excellent understanding of the latest industry trends. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Computer Science or a related field, a solid understanding of networking protocols and technologies, experience with network design and tuning, and a high degree of customer focus.
