Expoint is searching for a talented Software Engineer III in Embedded Systems/Firmware for Google Cloud Platforms to join the Google team in the tech industry in the United States, specifically in Sunnyvale. As a Software Engineer III, you will be utilizing your expertise in embedded systems and firmware to build and maintain the Google Cloud Platforms. You will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, debugging, and deploying software components in our product line-ups. This includes the platform backend services, firmware, drivers, applications and libraries that power the Google Cloud Platforms product. Additionally, you will be researching new software technologies and designing processes and procedures related to software development. You should have a detailed knowledge in embedded C/C++ programming, a deep understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, and system security, in addition to strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Candidates should also be able to quickly learn, understand and utilize new software development concepts, principles, and technologies as may be required. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related area and 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering. Mentorship and collaboration skills are also applicable to the role; and a deep knowledge of leading hardware/software development practices and trends is highly desirable.
